Emerald Isle , Is it really the nicest ,closest resort ?

If so can anyone recommend a house w/ 4 bedrooms that they have stayed in. I am very nervous about booking somewhere that I am unsure of. We will be going the week of OCT 8-15 ..

We think so but truely there are many great communities in FG area that are great. I think EI is a little more pricey then most because of amenities and closeness to WD. Still not nearly as expensive as Disney Onsite for what you get. A great choice if you have decided.

Well, I think the new Reunion Resort is going to be the nicest- but the price tag and limited rentals are going to reflect that too. I don't think Emerald Island is the nicest-- but it ranks right up there w/ quite a few others. It seems that many of the developmental resorts in the general vicinity have similar amenities and are all great places. I'd check out not only Emerald Island, but also Formosa Gardens, and Windsor Hills too.

We stayed in Sunset lakes in a 5 br pool home ( I know you needed 4 br), which there are..We stayed 1st week of Oct in 05, longest drive from Sunset Lakes was 20 min to magic kingdom, otherwise the rest of the parks (AK, MGM, Epcot) were 10-15 minutes (this was in the early am and late at night) when we did take 1 mid-day break, it took us almost 1/2 hour to get back & forth, b/c of traffic..There is a sweet shortcut (Sherberth Road) that had us on WDW property in under 10 minutes..
I'm sure you won't be disappointed, and all of the extra room was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the parks..

Have a blast (and if you can swing it, do MNSSHP while your there, that was a great experience!)
