Emerald Club question

I can't quite figure out how this car choice thing with the club works. We HAVE to have a mini van because of luggage and other issues. If I get an Emerald Club car, will I still be quaranteed a mini van or is it luck of the draw?

Emerald Club is the program. You select the vehicle you want when you make the reservation. You select Emerald Reserve when you make the reservation and then you bypass the line, go to the mini van aisle and select your vehicle.
