Emerald Aisle - exactly how does it work?

I have rented a car and signed up for emerald aisle. Do you still check in at the counter and then go pick a car? Do you go straight to picking up a car?

After collecting you luggage go down one level at MCO. Cross the street to the parking garage. Go to the National area and find the aisle listed as "AISLE". Others will say "compact", "full size", etc. Check over the cars and take ANY car on the aisle. You then drive to the booth and hand them your info. They check it out and you are on the road. It is awesome!

We have used it twice at MCO and got a full size (Impala) the first time and a minivan with a dvd system the second time. That was awesome because we drove to Daytona Beach that trip!

We love using Emerald because we don't have to deal with lines or car counters at the airport. We just grab the type of car we reserved and then drive up to the booth and give them our credit card and license. It never takes more than a minute or two at the exit and we are good to go. Its also nice because each time you rent your car through Emerald you earn the opportunity for free days or upgrades on future rentals too.
