Embassy Suites Orlando - LBV South

Has anyone stayed here? It's located on Kyngs Heath Road (Kissimmee). From what I've been able to find, I'm thinking it was once called Fantasyworld.

Any info or advice would be great. TIA

are you talking Embassy that is part of Hilton - or another Embassy.

if part of Hilton - Hilton is like Disney they will tear down and put up new if the hotel does not meet their standards.

there has been a Embassy suite in LBV for years now.

Good area, bad area, any advice, etc. would be welcome.

you were right it was the Fantasyworld.

the area gets mixed reviews - it does have a higher crime rate than closer to WDW.

that say you are really close to Celebration - which is a great area.

Thank you. I am trying to decide between here and Buena Vista Suites. Just can't make up my mind (I thought I had decided on BVS, but then I found this place). I'm losing my mind.

I'm looking at this hotel now but was also wondering about the area. I like that its a newer hotel and more updated than the other LBV Embassy. I was also surprised to find that although it says it is further from WDW mapquest put the drive to our resort we will be heading to as the same or just a minute closer.

It's only one night for us so I'm thinking the slightly higher crime rate won't be too much of a deterrent for us.

When are you going? Any way you could post about your experience/what you think afterwards? It wouldn't just be one night for us - it would be 7 nights - so I want to make sure I make the right decision.

Care to elaborate as to why? Every single review I've seen for this hotel has been positive, so I'd like to hear about your experience if it was a negative one.

We stayed here in December for two nights, with a $49 Hilton friends and family rate, that also included breakfast. But after staying here i think it is wort the regular rate. The rooms are new and spacious. The lobby is modern and comfortable with an open Atrium to the 10th floor and an indoor waterfall. We ate breakfast with waffles and made to order omelettes. We went to the complimentary happy hour that offered mixed drinks, beer and wine. Very nice hotel, brand new. We saw the pool, which looked nice but small. It was too cold for us to use in Dec.

The area looked a bit less desirable but we were always in our car. It is right down the road from Caribe Royal and only 5 min from main gate. Much more modern and spacious than Caribe Royal for rooms are larger. But not a resort level for grounds and pool. But very nice atmosphere.
