Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Oxnard,CA

Anyone have any details about this hotel or Oxnard in general?

I live in Ventura, up the road from Oxnard. The Embassy Suites is a nice hotel on the beach. There's a good restaurant inside, the name escapes me right now. I honestly can't reccommend much in Oxnard, though Ventura has a nice harbor area with shops and stuff just a couple miles up the road. You also aren't too far from Santa Barbara, just about 45 minutes. Lots to do there.

What if our plan is to just hang around and play on the beach?

Embassy Suites is right on the beach, so you can do that, too. Not sure if there are lifeguards right there, though. If I go with kids, I always like to be near the lifeguards.
