First has anyone stayed here? Is it a good ES, they can vary. Also has anyone gotten the Movie - dinner package? It says dinner at participating City Walk Restaurants but doesn't list them, is it worth it? I assume the movies are just whatever is at the theater, not like a classic Universal kind of thing? Thanks!

I've actually done this package (November 2005). Several of us attended a conference, so I had several rooms.

We liked the hotel and were very comfortable. You may want to ask for a room that doesn't front the interstate. That's what I did, and our rooms were very quiet. The breakfast was excellent.

What you get is the the Movie and a Meal package that Universal sells at City Walk for $19.95 each (you get two of the passes per room - at least we did).

We liked them very much. The link below will explain it for you (be sure to click on the link to the restaurant menus). The theater has something like 20 screens, and you can go to whichever film you want to see.

If you have any questions, let me know!

Hay thanks! At $155 it is a good deal then. Might be perfect for our night after the cruise! Do you know if they offer a kids price or if I will pay $21.99 for the kids too go along with us. Still not bad for dinner and a movie. Thanks for the link!

I've stayed there,it's a really good hotel,I like how it's tucked back away from International Drive!!

We stayed at the Jamaica Court a few years ago and loved it!

Very friendly staff, really nice atrium and great free breakfast!

Plenty of very nice restaurants just outside the front door as well.

Only negative point was the small pool and sunbathing area.

$21.99 - I guess it's gone up!

We were at CityWalk last December, and I don't remember seeing a children's price on these. I think they were just a flat $19.95 (then).

I agree, we thought it was a good deal too. If the kids ate off the children's menu, it would probably be cheaper to just do that and pay for their movie ticket, but I'm not sure since my "kids" were DD-19 and her BF-23. ;)
