Embassy Suites Anaheim South Review W/Pics

Great, now I have another restaurant to try next trip. :rotfl: I was told we had to take our boys to Bubba Gumps next time. I think they have one around there.

Looking forward to seeing your pictures. :thumbsup2

Bucca Di Beppo is actually a chain and I see on their website that there a few up north (sacramento, palo alto, SF) but not sure those locations do much for you. We used to even live close to one but I've never been! It's on my list of places to try sometime.

Bubba Gumps is at GardenWalk.

okay, here's my attempt at uploading pics!

I was going to upload a pic of Sophia Loren that I took a picture of, but I decided against it after attempting to crop or blur the pic to the left of her, which was a Roman statue with her tata's showing! I don't think there is anything wrong with it, but some people may be offended...anyway, you get the idea!

here's some exterior of the Embassy, I tried not to duplicate the OP's (PinkBudgie)

Nice review.. I always Love Embassy Suites hotels so glad to see this one is right up there with the others we've stayed at. Looking forward to booking our trip here. Thanks again!! :cool1:

Thanks. We enjoyed our stay there. I just wish I could pick it up and plop it across the street from DLR! :rotfl:

Well my two cents, they have been charging for parking for at least a year--you got lucky. And you have to figure in the ART cost here for say four or five of you if you are using it and that can add up.Also you can have all the drinks you want that one drink person stuff is way wrong. Our group had way more than that. The margaritas are fine.Their breakfast as compared to other Embassys maybe a smidge down it has a buffet feel I guess because of the numbers they serve.

I think this place is great place wish it was closer to the park. We stay here when we get there and maybe a second day for away from the parks and then we move across the street. We stay at Tropicana in their suites. The rooms compare very favorably to Embassy and there is balcony facing parks.Granted there is no happy hour and their breakfast is down a notch or two.I would tell folks to consider changing hotels during a stay and change of scenery.

I like Hiltons and Embassys its just the location that is problematic for me.I like being 100 yards from the gate.My son works in CA, he can go use the room and hot tub, etc while we are in the park.He also enjoys staying close for a couple of days and its a break from his room mates.

So overall both have their pluses.Oh yeah there is a great mechanic across the street a couple of blocks from Embassy if you ever have a need and a Shell with car wash.

Parking as of last week was $12/day. They have their own contract shuttle that is $5 for adults and $3 for kids for a full day. The shuttle leaves the hotel on the 15 and 45 after the hour and leaves the park on the 30/60.

Just in case you didn't notice, I wrote this in 2009 so some of the details may have changed since then (number of drinks, parking fee, etc.) But it still gives a good idea of what to expect from looking at the pictures- mine and those posted by others. Also, I don't know that you can drive the way we did and park in Pinocchio lot anymore. We used to be able to by-pass the parking garage. I'd do an update, but we now stay at CCI just because it's closer to DLR. (I did a review with pics on that one too. ;) )

If anyone has more current information or pictures to add that would be helpful to people. (Like someone noted that the parking fee had gone up to $12 now.)
