We finally make it into the Magic Kingdom dock! Here’s out welcoming party….he seemed less then overwhelmed to see us.
(There's a bird on those pillers if it isn't obvious)
Bag check was easy and no problem getting through the turnstiles so let’s make a bee-line for the castle shall we? Nope….I get sidelined by Disney Research. Maybe I’m a sucker or I have “ask me” written on my forehead. Last trip I was heading out of Epcot to go to the car to retrieve the “left in error” raincoats from the car during a downpour. I was elected as I was the only one who thought to keep one in my bag and everyone else chose to hide in the Land Pavilion. The minute I hit the gates POP! There’s a Disney researcher asking me if I was leaving the parks due to the weather….heck no! I’ll be right back! Found out later that night our little rain storm spawned a tornado that touched down near Orlando….oops….maybe the smart thing would have been to leave ….
The research was fairly harmless, just a few questions on how we got there today and our transportation experience, and we were on our way to the castle once again.
Closer……closer……
And BAM! There it is ….. hold please for a teary moment…..
After that we ran smack into the Celebrate Parade! Talk about a wonderful way to start our journey around the Magic Kingdom! Mom danced and clapped and the characters looked right at her. The stilt walkers were amazing. Mom said that she just let go and danced like she didn’t have a care in the world and I was so thankful that she had agreed to come just to experience that feeling of “dancing like no one is watching”.
Here’s a few pictures and to leave you with for tonight!

loving your trippie! your view was great. been thinking about trying AK on next visit. but worried about the size. heard the walks to the rooms are crazy long. looking forward to reading more,
We actually did it more then once! In fact we got stopped at one point and I was cheering because I was hoping to get a ride evacuation under my belt this trip....no such luck this time....turned out it was just slow unloading due to a group ahead of us that needed to transfer to wheelchairs.....dang
