Embarkation time?

First time cruisers here! We are sailing on th Dream in September and just chose our port arrival time between 10:00 - 10:15. If I'm understanding correctly our boarding number is based on our arrival time, correct? So the earlier we choose, the earlier we may be able to board. Generally what time does that begin? I know there are groups that get to board first but after that what time doesn the general boarding start?

On our April Fantasy sailing the first PAT available to us was 10:30-10:45. We were in group 2 and we were on board by around 11:30. I was surprised how quick we actually got on board. Group 2 boarded no more than 5 minutes after group 1 was called and group 3 was called just minutes after that.

boarding goes really quick. it can start as early as 11:15 but usually 11:30ish is the start time. assuming an 11:30 start time, if your boarding number is 2 you will be boarding at 11:35ish. by the time 12:00 comes it will likely be open boarding which means anyone can board, no number needed. I've heard lots of reasons why people like to get there early but I've never understood why people like to get there early.
if you do plan on being there for 10:00 be prepared to be waiting in a room that will get very crowded for at least an hour. lots of patience needed as everyone likes to crowd the entrance before their number is called.

On my last cruise, we had a very late boarding time and were worried we were missing out. However, we got to the port a bit after 12 and just walked right up to the check in then walked right on board. It was great with no lines.

I would not worry about it, once boarding starts it goes fast.

What is the last PAT? I think I read somewhere that staterooms aren't ready until 1:30, so if you don't want to wait around on the ship until your room is ready...are you able arrive at the port later?

You can turn up any time until the muster drill, but I suggest no later than 3pm,

now post 1pm you most likely will only have minutes wait.

If I am Concierge, what time do you recommend boarding? I don't want to be waiting too long but I would like to beat some of the crowds so we could try a realatively shorter Aqua Duck line

Concierge is one of the first groups to board & has a private waiting area inside the terminal.

When we were in concierge last July, we were taken directly up to the concierge lounge for snacks & to meet our concierge hosts. I believe you can choose to skip it but we didn't want to

its not to early to enter the terminal however you still have to wait for the boarding to begin which will not be till after 11. at least if your there for 11 and get your registrations complete you can wait in the concierge area and be one of the first to board. everyone will be nipping at your heals though as there is no time between your boarding and the next group coming on.
