I've been on cruises where they didn't open the pool or the kids clubs until the ship left port. We're taking our 1st Disney cruise and were wondering if that's true on the Magic too. DD is a bit concerned what she'll do if we arrive early, I'd like to reassure her.

The pools are almost always available as soon as you board, so be sure to pack swimsuits in the day bag that you'll carry onboard (your luggage may not be delivered to your stateroom until later in the afternoon).

Thanks Dave, DD will be happy then.

By the way your website has been a fantastic help thanks for the hard work to put it together.

We just sailed on the 1/4 Magic and I can assure you the pools were open and ready for when you boarded. It really is a great time to use the pools because they are very uncrowded at that time. The hot tubs are open as well and that is where I ran into Barb and Tony and introduced myself!!!!

Both of my dds wore their bathing suits under their clothes so they could immediately go swimming when we arrived. They were definately the first ones in the pool for about 20 minutes. My dh and I took turns going to the buffet and brought our trays back to the pool area. Enjoy!
