Embankment Pcr test after recent recovery

Were you guys staying in the same cabin? I am wondering what Disney considers the same party. We are traveling down and will meet family on the ship, they are flying from a different state. Our reservations are linked as in I can make dining reservations for us all but not see thier reservation. I would hate for one group to cause the other not to board when we haven't been together before the testing tent.
They asked if "we traveled together". We were not assigned to the same cabin but we did share a hotel room with them the night before. We could have lied and said no and DCL would have let us board but we would never do that.

Here is what happened: We arrived at 10:30 per our PAT (my husband and I and another couple). We were tested and sent to the waiting area to get the all clear. We were sent the "all clear" email and proceeded to get our picture taken and then when we were steps away from boarding the ship my friend (the wife of the other couple) got a phone call from the ships doctor asking where she was and they need to speak with her. We turned around and went back and there was a DCL rep there waiting for us. They took us to a corner with a partition around it and said she had tested positive and "there was a glitch in the system" and that is why we got the all clear. She asked since there was a "glitch" if she could be retested and they said they do not retest. We then were asked to wait for them to find our luggage and then sat for hours with one chair for the 4 of us). They did eventually bring us two more chairs but we were starving by 3pm having had breakfast at 8am and planning to eat lunch on the ship. It was a miserable day. They will drive you somewhere and then you are on your own. So we were frantically trying to find a car rental and hotel that had availability. They do have a Holiday Inn that guarantees you a room somewhere close by (this was in Miami) but we decided to find our own hotel and had them drive us to the airport to pick up our rental car. This was November 27th and we have still not received our refund - they did say it could take 30 days. They also report you to the TSA and told us we could not fly for 7 days. We changed our flight to go home two days early after the 7 day quarantine and my friend was stopped a the Delta check in desk and told she could not fly for 10 days. At that point they were frustrated and rented a car to drive home to MN. It was a terrible experience for us - I can't imagine if we would have had children. It was anything but magical. We will not cruise with DCL again until they change their protocols. We have a cruise booked with RCCL in February that was already booked - hoping for a much better experience. Good luck to all of you! I think it was around 4pm by the time we were dropped off at the airport to get our car.........it was a long and very sad day.
This is just ridiculous, I cannot believe you were treated that way, especially while healthy with no symptoms. Did your friend ever take another test to confirm the positive results?

Standing and waiting for your luggage for what, 3 hours? That's just unacceptable.

That's terrible. I can definitely understand your sentiment. The "glitch" is one thing, but it sounds like they didn't respond well to the situation. I thought they would retest, but maybe I am wrong or that was on some of the very fast cruises in September. I hope most of this is more figured out by our cruise next summer. It will be our 4th attempt at a cruise due to cancelled cruises for covid. Hope you RCCL cruise is great!
They will test the same sample a second time, if the first shows positive. They don't get another sample to test.
I’m not sure they are even doing the retesting the sample any more. The reports of them doing that were all before the bahamas changed their policy and required at-port testing for any one (back in September, you only needed a test if you were unvaccinated). Seems to me the Bahamas may have made them have to be more strict: one positive test and you can’t sail. Makes sense after all given a false negative is much more statistically likely than a false positive.
