I was still holding out hope for an email and lo and behold, in my mailbox this morning was an email from Disney! A quick glance at the subject line told me it probably wasn't THE email, but I had to open it just in case. Sure enough, it was about the new Disney stamps. Grrrr...

Sure did get my hopes up for a split second! :rolleyes:

the same thing happened to me. I glanced at the list and saw Disney and my heart skipped a beat till I realized it said "Disney Insider."

I got teased too!

I swear this is making me crazy. :crazy: I had a dream last night that I got the coveted discount e-mail and called CRO. When I asked about the Poly-GV the CM said "we only have two rooms left and it states here the view is really bad". When I got upset the CM said "let me check something" and put me on hold. I was thinking oh goody he's gonna go ask a supervisor if he can upgrade me or something! My alarm went off and woke me up so I don't know how the dream would have ended.

I ran to my computer this morning thinking maybe I had some premonition or something, but no, just got the Disney Insider e-mail! :mad:

Okay, so obviously I don't "hate Disney," but I AM rather perturbed with them. :headache:
 
I did get the infamous "e-mail" yesterday. I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not, but I went to the address book on my outlook express page, and added the Disney address to it that was posted in another thread. I did that late at night, and the next morning when I checked my mail, voila!, there it was. So I'm wondering if it has to do with your settings in your mailbox, and whether or not you are receiving mail from Disney.

I don't know if there really is any rhyme or reason to all of this, but I'm sure if attendance is projected to be down for the fall months, they will do all they can to boost it. I think the e-mails are coming out in batches.

Is the email discount good for 1 night room only or do you have to stay several nites? If it does not included 1 nite then I won't be so mad-lol

I just booked two rooms at AKL savannah view for only one night with the code, so yes you can do it for one night only! We had to come in a day earlier due to airlines, so we had to find a hotel room for the first night. We decided that the rate for AKL was too good to pass up.
 
I had the same reaction this morning when I checked my e-mail. How frustrating! Hopefully good things will come to those of us who (are forced to) wait.

I posted this on the other email thread - in the last 24 hours, I have gotten a regular mail from the Walt Disney Co., 1 email for Deals at Disney and another from Disney Insider! :badpc: To make matters worse, a friend of mine forwarded me HIS email...........I noticed the subject line BEFORE I realized it wasn't from Disney!! :crazy: My sense of humor is nonexistent at this point!! :crazy:
 
Hi I didn't get the e-mail either. But I had today off and went to the DS to pick up Disney Dollars for DH and I 1st anniversary trip. We booked CBR at first. But when the general public code came out for Sept we were able to get the AKL for a great rate 147.00 with tax. I get home and I have a real live Disney post card with Mickey on it in my mailbox so I called CRO and I was able to save another 100.00. So not only check your e-mail but check your actual mail box. These rates were the same as the ones they e-mailed out. KELLY :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
 
Oh great, now in addition to being obsessed about checking my e-mail now I have to start obsessing about when the snail mail comes. :p

I bet I don't get a postcard. When I called yesterday to see if Disney had a discount attached to my name the CM asked for my name & zip code. She didn't find one and she even double-checked with Guest Service who told her "no postcards or PIN was sent to your address".

I kinda feel like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz .... the part where the wizard is handing out things to the Scarecrow, TinMan and Lion. Everyone's getting everything they wanted and Dorothy says "I bet there's nothing in that bag for me". :sad:

I know, I've been checking 6 times a day, and all I've received in the last few days is e-mail from Disneystore.com, disney catalog, disney insider, deals at disney. Everything but THE e0mail.

The only snail mail was my Disney Visa bill!
 
Same here. Got the Insider today, too. Yesterday I got one from Disney Deals. The day before that was the Disney Store. Everything but the one I really want to get! :crazy2: :badpc:

What do we have to do to get one. :confused3 I am willing to beg at this point. I hate waiting!
 
I was fortunate to get an e-mail with the code but you know the guy on the phone didn't ask me for the code number. All I said was I got an e-mail and he looked me up in the system and gave it to me so you may want to try without it. Wouldn't hurt. I got a post card in the mail the week before and called and they wanted a code and I told them the card didn't have a code. It really didn't it just had the price of $77. for All-Stars in Nov. and I was told I couldn't get that price without the code and quoted me a higher price but when my statement from them came in the Mail it had the $77. rate. So figure that!
 
I was teased three times. For some reason I have three different email addresses registered with Disney. When I checked my aol address I recieved 2 Disney Insiders. Oh well, maybe one day I will get one of those great discounts
