ELSA dress hunt!!!

I have been looking for an Elsa dress for my 2 year old daughter to wear to meet the princesses in July. Does anyone know if there is a difference in the authentic Disney Store/Park dresses between a size 2/3 and a size 3 or 4? It looks like they are different from what I have seen in pictures on eBay. Either they or different or people are selling fakes on eBay. The main difference I see is that some of them are missing the big white snow flake area that is at the top of the see through outer part of the dress.

Does anyone know if there is a difference or has anyone else noticed this?

I can't say for sure because the dresses I saw in the park was from Dec, but then they were different from the ones sold in the store. I also know that any princess dress sold in the parks is different from the stores. My guess would be it is the same for the Elsa dress.

Thanks for the reply. That would make sense. The dresses I have seen on eBay look different when they say they are from the parks. It also looks like they might be $65 instead of $50. I am not sure why they are more in the parks. I actually like the dresses on the Disney store website better than the dresses I have seen from the parks.

The dresses have generally always been more in the parks. We usually buy them from DS ahead of time, especially when they have the 25% off every now and then.

No dresses online but they do have the classic dolls and shirts, and some plush animals!

They are already sold out!!! :headache:

I've been checking all day for Frozen merchandise and then I just open up and the new items are already sold out... WOW... this is a little insane!:sad2:

Got my dress today from the last restock! It is a little big but nothing I could not fix (just big around the shoulders), my daughter turns 6 this summer and she is about to hit a growth spurt (she currently wears size 6) so I got the 7/8 it is long enough that until she grows some more she will not be wearing this outside often, but like I said she will hit a growth spurt soon!

The dress is beautiful good luck to all of you still waiting! :goodvibes

I was at TRU tonight ( in PA) and they had 4 Elsa dresses and 5 Anna dresses in a size 4-6x. They also had one pair of the plastic shoes to match the dresses - no tiaras though. These dresses aren't the same quality as the Disney Store dresses, but if you need one soon and can't get one from the Disney Store, it is worth checking TRU. They were $30 for the dress.

Times Square was... "interesting" this morning. For those of you familiar with the area, the line trailed down 7th to 45th and then continued around the corner for half a block. This was at 9:45 AM, with the usual opening time set at 10 AM, but they were only letting small groups in until 11 AM. Elsa lottery was upstairs, Frozen merch was downstairs, and everything but the Singing Anna doll was gone by 11 AM as well. There were numerous people unable to even get their names into the lottery before it closed. It was madness.

I only managed to get Olaf, but that was the only reason I was there, so it worked out.

They pulled well over 100 names for the 5/6 and there was still plenty of disappointment.

Got the notice from wiialerts about Target restock. We ordered and its should be in a few days from now. I'll update on how the whole process went as we go.

The list on the Stores blog showed that there weren't going to be ANY dresses released anywhere in Arizona on Saturday. I went, anyway, because I wanted to get the dolls for my daughter's friend's birthday. A CM said that the list had been updated and another store about ten miles away had dresses. I confirmed and headed up there. They had one size 3, one size 9/10 and ten size 5/6 (which was what I needed). They also had plenty of the dolls and Olaf plush. There were a minimum of 30 people in the drawing for size 5/6 - I was #28, and #30 was picked. There was one family with three adults, and every one of them were picked, and every one of them chose to take a dress, which was a little frustrating, but, whatever. Maybe they have triplets.

Well, my daughter, who turns six tomorrow, was devastated when the CM announced that the next dress was the last one in size 5/6. But then, my name was picked! It was great - the people around me, who hadn't gotten a dress, were still all very happy that it worked out, especially when they saw my daughter's face light up like a Christmas tree.

She wore it all weekend. Would have worn it to church if I'd let her. My house is covered in glitter. But it's worth it for so much happiness! :goodvibes

what size would a 3-4year old wear? I was thinking xs 4??? any advice is appreciated!

I was able to get my daughter an Elsa dress last month at BBB in downtown Disney. They were only allowing you to purchase them if you had a salon appointment. We had the first appointment and they didn't have any mediums. So we got a large. The dresses sold at the parks are different than you can get anywhere else.

I know this thread is mostly about DW, but we just returned from DLR last night, and the dresses were no where to be found. I had gotten the Anna Coronation dress (recalled one, but I wasn't about to send it back) from the Disney store in Times Square for my younger daughter a few months ago. I caved a few weeks back and got my older daughter the Elsa dress on eBay because I had been unable to get it for several months and wanted her to have it for the trip. It was WELL worth it!! They wore them to the parks, and pretty much all of the characters and the characters in the parades bowed down to them! People addressed them as your majesties and let them "drive" the horse drawn carriage in DL and drive the red street car in DCA. No less than 100 people stopped us to see where we got the dresses (and we let a lot of folks down when we said we did not get them in the parks on that day).

So keep up the good fight to get your dress!! It was so worth it to see how happy they were walking around with them on. There were very, very few girls in DL with either the Anna or Elsa dresses on. They did not have them in Downtown Disney nor any store we went into in either park.

Good luck to all in the drawings!!

I have another "what size" question...I was looking on the DisneyStore.com's size charts and trying to figure out what "Size 5/6" means...

Size 5: 42-45" tall, 37-48 lbs, 4-5 years old, 23" chest, 21.5" waist
Size 6: 45-48" tall, 43-50 lbs, 5-6 years old, 23.75" chest, 22" waist

Does a size 5/6 means it's closer to a size 5, a size 6, or is in the middle?

My DD just turned 6 - she is 49.5 inches. We have a 5/6 at home and it's just starting to get a little smaller on her - it's short and the sleeves are a little short on her arms. I can see it starting to get snug in her shoulders too (so yes, I'm still on the hunt for a 7/8 - I missed out AGAIN at the Disney Store last week!).
My niece wears my DD's 5/6 and it fits her perfect - she's just going on 5 next month and I'd have to say between 40-42 inches tall. The 5/6 reaches the ground and just flows on her.
