Elsa and Anna meet & greet: how long did you wait in line?

No, it wasn't end of day. We got there first thing! My two girls ran at opening to Norway, I don't "run" for anyone so by the time I got there, the line was allready to Mexico. They scored big time for sure!!

I was there yesterday. Not to see them just walking around solo (had an unscheduled day off from work so decided to take a stroll around Epcot)
Went to World showcase around 11am and the line was insane, all the way up to the fence by the lagoon, about 3 hours long.
A couple of thoughts, if you have more than one adult in your party one can stay while the other takes the child to do some rides or meet and greets...Mulan, right next to Norway had about 10 people in her line at 11am, also Maelstrom was a walk on as well as the Mexico ride.
Inside the Stave church ion Norway there's a nice exhibit about the inspiration for Frozen, just a couple of props and pictures of the real Norway and how the animators got inspired by the natural beauty and so on.

I also went inside the gift shop to see the pair as they were meeting...while walking inside a mom and her maybe 6 year old daughter were walking in as well, at that moment Anna and Elsa were going on their break (walking across the gift shop to a backstage area) and the mom shoved her daughter in front of Elsa and almost made her fall just to try and get a picture...Elsa was fast on her feet and missed the child by inches and just kept walking at a fast pace.

That's sickening. Some people have no sense or class.

So, is it confirmed that the move has been officially moved to 9am? I know they did a test week at 9am and then moved it back to 11. We have an early res at Akershus, and are really hoping for 9am! Thanks!

As noted here, it's possible the time could be changed on any particular day for staffing issues.

Here is this week's schedule from www.wdwent.com where entertainment schedules are posted weekly (sorry, no further ahead than that):

The royal sisters from Disney's Frozen have journeyed from afar to meet new friends, and they're thrilled to have found a home away from home in the Prinsesse Plass at the Norway Pavilion!
Daily at 9:00, 10:00 & 11:00am, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:10 & 4:20pm

I really wish they would add a FP+ option for this. I'd love for DD for meet Elsa and Anna, but we really cannot do the long lines.

Their current location cannot sustain FP+ so as long as they meet there, it won't happen.

I REALLY wanted my daughter to be able to meet Anna and Elsa in Norway when we go in March, but there is no way we are doing a 3-4 hour line. I cannot fathom paying as much money as I am and having to wait 3+ hours to meet just TWO characters. We're not doing any ADR's, so I may as well just give up the dream for her :(

Its insane how long those lines are.. I already told my oldest if its longer than an hour we aren't doing it. I don't want to separate our party for an extended period of time, the whole point of a family vacation is to spend it as a family. We do have 8am reservations at the Aksuhus (how do you spell that) but my husband loves seeing the kiddos interact with the characters so I can't imagine asking him to stand in line and miss it. Maybe we will be lucky and get a good place in line, otherwise my oldest will have to wait until later to see them.

We leave tomorrow and my girls want to meet them soooooo bad. I've told them not to get their hopes up because we're not spending all day in line for them. I don't think I'd wait longer than an hour! I like the Akershus idea. I guess I will keep trying over the next few days for a breakfast ressie to open up!

We have an 8:00 am akershus reservation as a family. What time do you think I need to duck out of breakfast to get a good spot in line? Think I can eat until 8:30 or 8:45, then wait in line til my family finishes up?

We're going to Epcot on an AM EMH day. If I'm the only one awake, I will be there by rope drop, but we'll try to get us all out the door around 7:15. My DH's one job is go straight to Norway (he's the fastest and we'll all slowly catch up to him). Then I'll have DH take the kids on TT since it's close while my sister and I wait. I've always been the designated wait person for Rapunzel and Merida so it's nothing new.

6 of us are going ( my hubby, myself our 2 DD's and 2 DS's) if I get early dinning reservations for my girls and I can my hubby and sons enter too or is it only the 3 of us who have reservations?

is it any better on days when epcot opens am emh at 8? i would think that would cut down on bfast ppl in line

Also I have never been to Epcot before so I am looking at the map- what is the fastest way to get to the sisters meeting spot in Norway?

It just means you better be the fastest through the gate and not get knocked down running over there.

They'll only let the number on the reservation in early. I'm not sure how EPCOT handles it since I've only been in early in the other parks but they would check off the name on the reservation and see who was in the party to match the number listed.

My recommendation is either make a reservation before park opening for akershus and have someone get in line before park opens or find a way to be at park opening at the back entrance so you are much closer to Norway and can beat the crowds in. This is all assuming the meet and greet starts at 9am.
