Elsa and Anna meet & greet: how long did you wait in line?

We are not going till the end of May. Do you think it will get better by then or worse?

Probably count on it being the same or worse. The movie gets released on Blu-Ray on March 18...

ETA: it's available on iTunes now! Just think, most people can watch the movie twice while they wait in line! ;)

:rotfl2:

I listened to the soundtrack who-knows-how-many-times to get through the last leg of that line!

So glad that my daughter seems to be the only girl in the country that didn't particularly like the movie ;)

I don't think it was 1200 groups. If it is, that'd be the worst meet and greet ever! 1200 divided by 7 hours would be 170 groups per hour, or about 3 per minute, or about one each 20 seconds (which wouldn't even include the few seconds it takes to switch groups)

If you only get about 15 seconds for your whole group, something is terribly wrong!

The numbers came from the very reliable source, CM's are counting every person who is going through that line. ;) Anna and Elsa have been limiting their interactions to 2-3 minutes absolute maximum, compared to then 5+ minutes they were giving people pre Frozen release. It also isn't the first report that I've seen around with similar numbers.

We met them before the movie was in the theaters. Waited about 20 minutes.

They were just starting to meet during our Oct/November trip last fall, and the wait was like 15 mins. My son had no interest then, because he said "I don't know those girls!" Then the movie came out and now he's begging me to meet them! haha! I'm really kicking myself for not seeing them last year!

I hear Anna is on the cruise, so at least we'll be able to meet her, but Elsa is his favorite, so we'll be trying the Askerhaus ADR way! haha!

I understand, but the math simply doesn't work. 2 minutes each for 1200 groups is 40 hours. I don't think they are meeting guests for 40 hours a day. Even one minute each would be 20 hours worth of meeting per day, which is equally unrealistic.

Either something go missed as the details were passed down from person to person, or Disney has discovered a very valuable time altering artifact.

There are some groups who just get the picture, no autograph or conversation, and move on. There was a girl in line alone in front of us that did that. I'm sure there are many others.

We were there in late October/ early November and they were gone or taking a break or something. We got in line and had around a 30 min wait which I thought was a long time for some characters we had not even heard of before. Now I guess its a good thing we did. I cannot imagine the lines people have reported.

When we were there in early February the line was usually 2.5-3 hours but once (right before dinner and we had a reservation at Akershus) it was 1.5 hours. We didn't wait in line, my girls are a little sad about it but it was our first time at Epcot and there was no way we had 3 hours to spare to sit in line. If we hadn't had the dinner reservation I would have waited the 1.5 hours to see them but 3 hours was my limit. I asked multiple times both times we were there.

We went in January and waited 2 1/2 hours. we decided not to do anything crazy, we just showed up at Epcot around 11:10 and walked back to Norway. It really was worth every minute. you aren't rushed when you finally get in and they spent 10 minutes with my daughter. Elsa showed her how to make it snow.

We're using the 8:00am Akershus reservation strategy in two weeks. I'm hoping they move the girls back to 9am meet and greets again for Spring Break. I don't really want to wait for 2 hours in line. I'm going to bring an external battery pack for my phone though, just in case. It may be a long wait.

What do you mean she showed her how to make it snow? My DD has been saying she wants to build a snow fort with her... I'm curious how she responds to all the requests to see her ice magic!

Disney calculates guest experiences at meet and greets by guest, not by group. I believe you are correct. In other forums, it's reported that in non-stop meet and greets, the characters are expected to meet at least 150 guests per hour...Anna and Elsa should be meeting at least 1350 guests per day so 1200 guests in nine hours is more than likely the count.

i was able to snag a 8:05 am Akershus breakfast for 6!! so happy. now what time should i be entering the park for this? how long will it take to get back there from the entrance because they say to be there 15 min early, (7:50am) also my girls are wanting to meet elsa and anna so what time should i get in line for this? should i have my husband get in line at 8:15am? also how long does breakfast last? sorry for all the questions, i have just been seeing 8:20am open and was so happy to get a 8:05am and im trying to plan this out.princess:

Maybe already asked - sorry if so - just didn't see it....

If you just go into the store - can you "see" them? (I don't mean "meet" them" - Like - can you look over to the side and say - look, there's Anna and Elsa!

Kind of, at least when I was there. If you went to just the right spot and tilted your head just the right way ;) I took a picture, I should upload it.

Last Monday, they let us in around 740. My reservation was 820, and we all entered together regardless of time. I'd send him out around 845. When I was there, that's when they built the rope queue and there were 3 of us there
