Elisabeth Hasselbeck annoys me!

If you saw Thursday's show (it was preempted on the East Coast) and read her blog, you knew she had decided she wasn't coming back the minute she left that studio Wednesday.

Its going to be interesting to see what Barbara will say next Tuesday (assuming Monday is a rerun or a pretaped show). Star left abruptly and now Rosie. What a trend.

Well isn't that nice? I have been a Rosie supporter her on the DIS but it really burns me when celebrities bite the hands that feed them. You had 3 weeks to finish your contract, 3 weeks your fans may have been looking forward to and you bail out. Very uncool in my opinion.

PS - Nice that she turned the comments off on her blog. I guess she couldn't take the fans being angry with her. That's okay - I have patience to wait for her to turn it back on.

I just wanted to point out that she turns off the questions alot. She gets thousands/day. It's not just a recent thing or something she did because of the current situation.

I haven't read this whole thing so maybe this has already been mentioned. Did you ever notice how Joy really starts alot of the squabbles and then just sits back and enjoys the show. Wednesdays bash started with Joy reading why she thinks Bush should be ousted. Now anyone with half a brain knows EH is going to go balistic and then Rosie will give her opinion and Joy just sits back and smirks at the idiots . Rosie needs to relax a little and EH imho is a spoiled brat who doesn't know when to just SHUT up. And all the time I'm just sitting back and feeling quite intertained and very satisfied with my crazy world. I'm so pathectic that when Bush took up the Hot Topic time the next day I was depressed the rest of the day Susan

Has it been confirmed that Rosie has left the show because Barbara Walters said she has not and will be back on Tuesday?

As mentioned above, ABC did also confirm that her head writer was escorted out of the building but vehemently denied that Rosie 'trashed' her dressing room. I think the story is changing in all the telling at this point!

If nothing else, I believe Rosie boosted ratings to the point where people were aware that The View still exists. Barbra is VERY happy about that.

Rosie is a very intelligent caring woman and I hope she finds a position that suits her style. I must say I loved the fight though - WOW. ringside seats.

Elizabeth I'm not so sure about. Although she's beautiful, loves to talk & has connections up the wahzoo, I don't really think her stand on issues is truly her own - her words come across as "this is what I've heard my whole life so I'm going to repeat it till I'm blue in the face" ... to me at least.

I think the problem was that Elisabeth didn't stick up for Rosie when she was on Fox news. I never watch "Faux" news, but here's what I thought happened: EH was on Fox and they were saying something bad about Rosie (that was NOT true) and E didn't stick up for her or anything. If a so-called friend did that to me, I'd be upset, too.

I don't think that Rosie is "crazy" at all. I think she just got fed up with EH, and I don't blame her! Heck, I've been so frustrated with that little twit that I wanted to slap her silly! I keep yelling at EH on the TV screen to SHUT UP, but she keeps going and going and going.... Actually, I've been amazed at how patient Rosie has been with EH.

Now that this has happened and Rosie isn't coming back because of it, I have gone from 'not liking' EH to 'HATING' her! If she would have just shut her yap for once.... I may watch on Monday or Tuesday to see what Barbara says, but I will probably never watch The View again. I wonder what else is on at that time....

It never made sense to me for that show to have two women who are both comics, middle-aged, from New York, known to be outspoken, etc. My first thought was that Joy wasn't going to enjoy having someone else on there who was basically direct competition to her.

I don't doubt her political senitments, but I really wonder if Joy has taken advantage of the atmosphere there to stir the pot when it suits her. I don't think she'll be too sad, from a job standpoint at least, to see Rosie move on.

I stopped watching the view when EH started talking. I can't stand her. At first I tried, because I liked the other ladies, but she annoyed me more than I liked the other ladies. When Rosie came on, I tried to watch it again, but once again, EH annoyed me more than I liked Rosie....

Maybe the can put Screech from Celebrity Fit Club on with EH....I think that would be interesting...

I totally agree. I pointed that out in a previous post. Joy is an instigator. She starts the fire and sits back and watches it burn. I am know real fan of Elizabeth but Rosie went over the line. She is just trouble. I would love to see a real conservative battle her. I guarantee should would not last a second.

Your observation is exactly what has gone on all along and is why Rosie has left. Personally on Thursday's show Elisabeth should have apologized for her part of a public spat and Rosie should have done the same when she returned on Tuesday. For Barbara Walters to sit there and act like nothing took place or allude to it very matter of factly made me lose all respect for her. She acted like Elisabeth had no part in it.

Why does it matter that it was a football reference? The analogy was effective. You don't give away your game-plan as Rosie was saying the US should have had the "courtesy" to do . I'm guessing she used the football analogy because that is what she knows best. No biggie.

Does Elizabeth normally use Football references??????? It is very unusual to hear a woman use "football" terminology/analogies to another woman.

My point was it sounded to me that Elizabeth was possible repeating what her Dh had said about Rosie.

I thought this was very uncharacteristic. And Rosie looked as if she didnt know what Elizabeths analogy was.

Here is a little more info - I just heard on MSNBC that Rosie TRASHED her dressing room after the show. Also her head writer was "escorted from the building" (ie: thrown out) for being caught drawing mustaches on picures of EH in the studio.

Yes Rosie's Dressing room was trashed..However.....ABC did say that Rosie was NOT in the building when it happened. They said it was one of her assitants (a woman in her 50's)who drew mustaches all over Elizabeths photos!

i think they are both being used to improve ratings as much as possible before rosie leaves. that split screen mess and the lack of commercial makes me feel this way. the only thing left was for them to actually fight. i just wonder if rosie and elisabeth are too stupid to figure this out or too greedy to care how they come off.
