Elisabeth Hasselbeck annoys me!

I think Elisabeth is as dumb as a brick and Rosie is a trainwreck.

THANK YOU! :thumbsup2 That just about sums up my feelings on all of this also.

EH is too dumb to drop a subject with someone she can't out shout!

Rosie is a full force trainwreck that knows nothing, but full speed ahead!

It really doesn't bother me when or if Rosie stays or goes. I just love how she gets all the Conservatives to foam at the mouth. Now that's entertainment! ;)

Anderson, as in Anderson Cooper?

The one and only :teeth:

And although I was already not the biggest Rosie fan, after she dissed Anderson she lost a lot of points with me. Especially because it was such a hypocritical comment on her part. Then again, I am overly sensitive when people take punches at good 'ole A. Coop ;)

People mistake Elisabeth's calm demeanor and sweet temperment for "weak or stupid". No, it is called class people - something Rosie will never understand.

:lmao: Yeah, cause Elizabeth was so classy sitting in Barbara's lap crying on air. please. Real class requires intelligence- something Elizabeth completely lacks.

Finally saw the latest infamous episode!:lmao: I wonder if Joy is still waiting for someone to answer her question (which started the whole event)

One thing I noticed (and I could not find on this thread).....Why was Elisabeth using FOOTBALL references when yelling at Rosie????:confused3 Very uncharacteristic.:rolleyes1

Too me it sounded more like Elisabeth is repeating everything her DH may have said. I really dont believe she is capable of a complete thought on her own.:hippie:

trump blasted EH saying she is the dumbest woman on TV and is over head
with her unconditional support of bush

I was surprised he didnt use this as an excuse to rake over rosie again

All I know is that Rosie has sparked some interesting topics and debates - even here on the DIS. I'm going to miss that. I wish she was staying and that the View would replace EH with someone that can go up against Rosie equally.

EH is just too naive with some of her opinions. She lives in a bubble, (in my opinion of course ;) ), and sees things only in black or white - with no room for gray areas. Age may change this eventually, but in the meantime, I think she generates a lot of eye-rolling from anyone that has to listen to her.

When you talk about market segment, is EH really a major draw for the View??:confused3

Can't stand Rosie. And not entirely because of her views. She's an obnoxious loudmouth. Yelling at (or over) the person she's having a discussion with is apparently the way she thinks is the best way to making her points.

I heard some of the dialog between the two of them. Neither one of them was making any sense. If the View is going to keep this "hard left, hard right" element, they need to replace Elizabeth with someone who can go toe to toe with Rosie. Personally, I'd rather see two moderates from each side "discussing" the kind of topic that inspired this thread.

But I wouldn't mind it if Elizabeth took up Playboy's offer. :woohoo:

I watched the clip and was thinking the same thing. Joy had a valid question and valid facts to be discussed, and it was just swept under the table.

Well I watched the show too. Made me very uncomfortable and sad for these two women, who probably were friends before it all started. I loved the guest host who kept trying to get the subject off politics and onto something light. I know from arguing with friends over politics its best to make your point and move on.

Personally, I agree with Rosie, we've been a lot more successful killing innocent Iraqis than we have killing terrorists. That said, how many times can that be said? Elizabeth obviously feels we are doing something good over there and doesn't seem like she is inclined to change her mind.

I wonder what Rosie is going to do next? Someone will give her a show - she pulls in ratings. I predict The View will go back to the ho hum show it was before Rosie came along, like her or not you can't deny she made the show interesting!

I totally agree (except for Playboy - not interested), I'm not a Rose or EH fan. I enjoy a good political debate and would rather see two moderates, then two brainwashed people.

I know I've crossed the line jumping into this, but I think the show would be better if it were actually a discussion about the issues instead of Joy and Rosie talking about how much they hate the President personally and Elizabeth defending him. Talk about the war, talk about the economy, talk about social issues like heath care and poverty-talk about how those problems should be approached. Liberals and conservatives come at those problems from different directions, which would make the conversation interesting. I don't find personal attacks and insults interesting. I stop paying attention when that starts.

 Oh please. Does anyone really give a rats behind what Trump has to say about this? I wish that he and his bad comb over would just fade into the background. The man has entered the realm of pathetic. Nobody cares about him, but apparently he thinks that people do. :rolleyes1 Maybe he needs to take some of his money and buy a clue.

Exactly. They took two people who were from the extreme left and right and let them go at it everyday. And while it is occasionally entertaining (well, for me anyway :rolleyes1 ) I may become an actual viewer of the show if they had intelligent, well spoken women who were moderates and not so entrenched in their beliefs that all they do is scream at one another over who is right and wrong. That accomplishes nothing. Well, except for higher ratings which is what the producers were going for.

Rosie's comments were unamerican IMO.
JMHO But to say that Rosie’s comment was un-American is to limit what America is to politics, war, troops and the military.

For all that America encompasses, the common folk, the arts, the wish for a peaceful society, sports, the children, the millionaires that used to have nothing, the poor that works hard because there’s a chance, the civil movements, the poor immigrant kid that joins the army because it offers him a chance to make a difference and find a career…

I found Rosie’s comments against a war that is affecting and keeping apart thousands of American families as American as apple pie.

When I think of America I think of peace, life and opportunity, I’ve found nothing of the sort in this war.
