did anyone watch eli stone last night? So at the end, it turned out that maggie was on the wrong side of the trial and not with her current beliefs. What I don't get is, last season, in one of his future flashes, he was with Maggie and they had a baby. So, could this just be a different version of what could happen? Did they both happen? I wish they'd just get Eli and Maggie together soon.

I just started watching this season. I love it but am trying to figure this all out. Why does he have all these flashbacks? Did I miss allot not watching last season?

Eli has an aneurysm, which his father also had. It causes him to have very real visions of the future or of allegories he has to interpret. He resisted, but has come to believe that what he sees comes from God. I suggest getting season 1 on dvd -- there were only episodes, so it's relatively quick to catch up. It's a really good show -- especially once it found its feet a few episodes in, so if you like this season, you'll enjoy the first one too.

In re the last episode, my take on it was that either Eli's decision to not fight for a class action suit or what happened with Jordan leads Maggie down another path. It may be that she stays with Posner and Klein and is corrupted morally by their ethos. Or it may be a warning for Eli that he should be the one to mentor Maggie since there was a line about her mentor or lack thereof. I think one reviewer said the episode was about Eli learning that his visions are not the ONLY way the future will be, that there really isn't destiny, but rather lots of choices, by Eli and everyone else.

I am glad that this episode Taylor tamped down her inexplicable hostility torward Eli. I honestly think that they cut some scene which explained it bec last we saw in the S1 finale, she was all broken up about his potential death and then first episode of this season, she actively hated him. What's up with that, Berlanti?

I agree that his visions are of possible future events. Sometimes they show him a different outcome than he would expect, so he adjusts his current thinking accordingly.

I agree about Jordan - it's about time she started treating Eli a little better and toned down her hostility. After all, he's the reason her father is still alive.

************SPOILER*************

I'm glad that Eli chose to destroy his Father's journal. It wouldn't have been right for him to try and adjust his visions to coincide with his Father's. Just because they both had visions doesn't mean that they're meant to have the same outcome, IMHO.
