Elevators? Vistana Resort?

Hi Folks!

Say Vistana Folk...

When we take my in-laws w/us to Disney, they have mobility issues & can't do stairs - does Vistana Resort have elevators or have 1st floor guarantees - I don't think we can carry them up the stairs!

The two newest sections, Lakes and Cascades, have elevators. Also, I believe you can specifically request 1st floor. Call 1-800-vistana and speak to the desk staff, they're very helpful.

My family is going to Vistana in early April. If we don't land a Lakes or Cascades unit, how many floors are the other units? Carrying a double stroller, infant or a toddler up and down the stairs is my concern.

I think the tallest buildings are 3 stories, except the Lakes and Cascades which are 5 floors. I recommend calling Vistana and specifically requesting a lower floor. I have always found the desk staff to be really accomodating wherever possible.

Yes, Cascades and Lakes are the only ones with elevators but you can request a ground floor for medical reasons.
Spas, Courts and Falls are 2 stories high; Palms/Springs/Fountains are 3 stories; Cascades/Lakes are 4-5 stories high.
I agree with Cyndui.....call Vistana and let your requests be known. Have a nice trip.

we arrived the week of Thanksgiving my mother is 82 and can't manage steps - not a problem with this resort - got a first floor 6 feet (feet mind you not yards) from the door of our villa.

mother loved it....her house and my condo aren't that close to the front door - none of WDW resorts are either.

this was one of the older building - Springs. It had problems but for the exchange it was well worth it.
