ARGGH...I am having a hard time resigning myself to the fact that even though I went through MY 12 years of school, I have signed up for 16 more years by having 3 kids.

Well, I am in 4th, 2nd and K right now. Our 4th grade report and project on Artic Wolves is done. Can't wait for the next big project! :teeth:

I am in 6th grade for the 2nd time, and 1st grade for the 3rd time.

I can tell you there are a lot more projects in 6th grade this time around.

Will I get 2 more diplomas?

I'm doing fractions.....in 1st grade! Aack! Does this mean I'll have to review calculus in time for 6th???

I am in 2nd year college, senior, freshmen in hs , 5th grade and 4th for the final one of 6 times !!

Lucky you! I am in and are teaching grades K, 1, 2 & 3rd ...they are learning things I dont think I learned in school until I was in junior high ..school has definatly changed!

I got to stop at the 8th grade with the oldest. :teeth: Right now I'm in the 4th grade with DD and graduate school (for myself).

It was the happiest day of my life when DD12 finally finished fifth grade and went on to middle school. I was SO TIRED of elementary school. I think it has something to do with how my girls are spaced, too - they are five years apart, and I had been away from elementary school for a few years. It was SO TEDIOUS sometimes!!!!!!!

I like being a senior in high school again, though. All the fun of watching her get ready for parties, apply to college, etc. with none of the actual work. And I think I'm going to like going to college next year, too!!

tell me about it!!! there is no way i'm going to be able to help them once they hit 6th grade (and i already gave up on sentance structuring-i only remember a short unit on this in elementary school, not the ongoing stuff my kids have had for several years).

dh gets stuck with the bible homework (he had it everyday for 12 years so he can locate it much better than this public school educated mom :goodvibes ).

LOL I know how you feel. My oldest is grad high school this year, ds #2 is a soph but my 2 youngest havent even started K yet. So I will be back in elementary school in the next year or so.

Last night I was helping DD10 make a Lola paperdoll, for her presentation on Christmas in the Phillipines! It was wild helping DS14 study for his biology exam...I hadn't heard some of those biology terms since about 1974.

We just finished our project on Siberian tigers and a book report on Neil Armstrong. I don't remember it being like this when I was in school. Is it just me? Am I just too old to remember??

Tell me about it. As it stands now, I don't help with any math homework beyond the 1st grader's, and DH won't help with any spelling/writing homework beyond the 3rd grader's. :rotfl: I tell the kids that I already did my time in school. I'm done! (I do help as much as I can, but this old brain's been leaking for too many years! :rotfl2: )
