Has anyone tried the electronic relief bands? These are like the soft wrist bands for motion sickness, but are battery operated and can be worn in prevention or at the onset of motion sickness.
It seems to be getting some good reviews but are on the pricey side. It is advertised at $79 on-line. I saw one in a local scuba shop and it was priced at $140 for the same product!
The batteries can be replaced.

There is a second style of this for $59. The difference is that it comes with a battery that last 144 hours but the battery can not be replaced. I'm not sure why you would want this one.

I've used medication before, and it works fairly well unless there is a storm. I also get very car sick and obviously I can not take medicine every time I get in a car!

Let me know if anyone has used this and does it really work.

Thanks, Lorie

They are worth every penny! When DH&I went on the Western, the first night DH felt a little "funny" when we passed the giant portholes on Deck 3. He immediately ran to the room to try the relief band. Within 5 mins. he felt fine. This past July we went on the wonder with DD and DS and our Aunt. We purchased relief bands for them as well. DS and Aunt had to use them the first day or so occassionally. They also felt immediate relief. We got the reusable ones. We highly recommend them.

Thank you very much. We had done the 3-night before. I wasn't sure if I could handle the 7-night that we scheduled for June since there is a lot more time at sea. I'll definitely give it a try!

Thanks again, Lorie

My husband used the regular bands and they worked very well. On the other hand - I was rocking each day and night and I think I probably should have used them. He wasn't even getting the after rocking after we got off the ship as bad as I was and he wore them all last week. They even worked for the roller coasters he rode last week too.

Drugstore.com has the ones that you can replace battery for 59.95 on sales. Free shipping also over $50.00

Thanks gduvall,

I can not believe I missed that one it was one of the sites listed!
I did end up ordering one, I called 1-800-drugstore because I still don't like to do things on line yet! I also got an extra 10% off for being a new customer so my total was $53.99! A lot cheaper than our local stores (one was $140 and the other $120 down from the original $199!!!).

I love Relief bands. I have used them on three cruises and they have worked wonders. I sometimes had to keep them on the highest setting (5), in order to feel perfectly fine, (crossing the gulf stream) Definately worth it.

Don't you think they really should sell these on the ship? What better place to buy them.
