Are there any left?
When I went last year, the stumps by Rapunzel bathrooms, many were broken or didn't work.
They took the ones out of that place by Space Mountain gift shop (that was pretty short time).
Do you know of any in the other parks?

I know you can pay $30 to buy the recharge things now.
Are there any free places left, other than go back to your room to recharge?

One nice option is to take your phone to Guest Services. They charge your phone for free, give you a little claim ticket (like a coat check), and you return whenever you'd like to pick it up.
I asked about this the other day at Guest Relations and they are not doing it anymore. They offered me the 30$ portable charger thing

If you are in Epcot during Food & Wine and have a Chase Visa credit card, there is a charging station in the Chase Lounge on the 2nd floor of the American Pavilion. Phone cables are provided.

MK:
The tree stumps at Rapunzel's bathroom
Big tent next to the meet and greets at Storybook Circus
Space Mountain
Old Hall of Presidents Gift Shops
Epcot:
Innoventions
Haven't seen any multiple charging areas at DHS or AK but I usually go to Backlot Express or ABC Commissary at DHS

The guest services charging was a nice-to-have, but these days I feel odd not having my phone with me at all times.

The $30 chargers give you the benefit of swapping them out as needed, but unless you are a very heavy phone user, you can just buy a portable charger on Amazon at a lower cost. Even a compact one is good for topping off your battery once or twice a day.

Oh no, really? I have my own portable device so I thought that was a reference to buying something on your own. Bummer, that was a nice service in an "emergency". Perhaps demand was too steep and now D-tech offers a portable charger.

If you are taking a bag into the park, you could pick up a power bank to take with you. I bought a couple at Five Below for $5 each, thought I lost the first one. I can usually get 1 or 2 additional charges out of each.

Yeah, I think in the old days it was much easier to offer this service for cell phones. Today, everyone has smart phones and are using them all day. I can see the problem going from a few dozen phones to a few hundred at a time.

Are you sure these are all still working? Didn't the Space Mountain one close many months ago? And the former Hall of President gift shop is being changed to something else? I read they had. And as I said in my original post, most of the tree stumps at Rapunzel's bathrooms didn't work last year. Did they fix them?

I called and talked to a WDW CM, which we all know are not the best sources of information, and she said as far as she knew, they were all taken out, the $30 option is the only available. Her computer was S-L-O-W, and she could not find what she was looking for, but said she had seen it just last week.
So are you sure all these you mention are still working? I am looking for current information. That is why I asked here.

I've used all the locations that I mentioned in the past month
BTW im talking about you bringing your own cable and plugging it in, not some sort of locket

The hall of presidents gift shop is rumored to be changed into something to do with muppets, but that hasn't happened yet

We have brought portable chargers on our own and at least one plug/cord combination. We can plug in if an outlet is available, we can also use the portable charger if needed. The portable charger we bought will charge all 4 of our devices, full and still have about half a charge left. Typically, a battery on an iphone which is less than 20% will be charged to 100% in about 30 minutes. For the portable chargers you look at, they are not all the same, so do some research into what the differences are. A cheap one will work, a good one will be excellent.

I believe it's the windows above the gift shop area that will feature the Muppet interactive show. The seating area which was the former gift show will remain as is.

I've had great luck with Anker, Jackery, and Mophie portable chargers. Way more reliable than trying to find a place to plug in.

Not only are the portable chargers pretty inexpensive now, but it allows you to charge while walking around the park and riding rides. No need to be tethered to a charging station, wasting precious park time. I have a couple of Jackerys and both work really well. If I'm in need of a charge, I just plug my phone in and toss everything in the bag and continue on with my day.

I have an anker 15000 that I have used on a few trips. It works great, can charge 2 devices at once and can charge my.phone ~4 times. It does take maybe 10 hours to fully charge the actual battery pack. I am however excited to get the $30 one in the park for my next trip. I like the fact that I can switch it out for a diff one if it gkes dead and I need to charge my phone. It's also gotta be lighter than the anker I have and since I'm going to try to go bagless, the lighter the better. The ones theybhave in the park are not rented. You get to keep it and take it home. They just switch them out in parks if the battery pack dies.
