Electrical Water Pageant

No, you don't have to be a guest at the MK area resorts to see it. Just goto one of the resorts beaches and find a good spot. We like to watch it from the Poly beach just past the volcano pool.

Are there hammocks on the Poly beach where we could watch this? If so, are there usually a good selection of hammocks or would we have to arrive quite early to get one.

I am taking about Dec 31 (NYE) and we are hoping to be at the Poly for the 8:30pm wishes as well as the (;00pm EWP.
Due to it being NYE, will a lot of people be at the beach viewing wishes and the EWP?

There are a very few hammocks on teh beach, and there are signs that say that the beach is for the exclusive use of registered guests of the Polynesian. Those hammocks (and chairs and swings) should be left for Polynesian guest use, period.

That is your opinion. The Poly staff have no problem with other guest using these items. I know - I asked. The staff said the signs meant that guest were the only ones allowed to hang out on the beach all day and sun bathe and such. They said anyone was allowed to use the chairs to watch the fireworks (I'm am taking a leap here and assuming that this would apply to the water pageant as well)

If I could, I'm going to make a slight change in this. The EWP starts at the GF at 9pm and then works its way to the Poly at 9:15pm.

I have been seeing this since I was 5yrs old in 1976 and I love it. It's a great way to end a Disney Day :goodvibes

It passes WL at 9.30pm and it's easy to have a great view from the beach area. It is so cute, and patriotic, so it's worth seeing. Combine it with an fantastic (best I've had on WDW property) dinner at Artist Point. Yup, that's my recommendation!
