Electrical Parade and Wishes FP+ ....same night?

It looks like the Electrical Parade FP is in front of the Castle, and the Wishes FP is off to the side in Rose Garden.

Has anyone done both in the same night....I know it's not a long walk or anything, but are people for Wishes already in the FP space while Parade is going, so that by the time the street clears for the parade and I walk over to Rose Garden, am I in the back and it won't be much good of a view (I know the fireworks are overhead, but I'm asking about the view of the castle light show)?

Or...once the Parade ends, can I just stay right there smack dab in front of the Castle and wait the 30 minutes for Wishes without using up another FP+ AND probably have a better view than the side Rose Garden? In other words, the parade is over do they clear you out of the FP area, or just take down the ropes and let it be available for anyone?

Thanks.

Yes....that.

After MSEP you can stay put for the projection show and have a great viewing location, but the view for Wishes is better from the Rose Garden.

Many, many have done both.
Many, many have done just one.

Here's a map that shows the FastPass+ reserved locations.
The MSEP FP+ area ceases to be "reserved" after the parade passes.
Regardless, it is too close to the castle, which blocks the view of many of the
major fireworks.
If you choose FP+ for MSEP only, I've included red arrows to show where to MOVE
for viewing Wishes (and Celebrate the Magic) right after the parade passes the parade FP+ reserved area.

Thank you for including that map! I have a fp for the parade. I am going to take your advice and move after the parade. I love fireworks and would be disappointed to have a severely blocked view.

I did both on the same night, rather than just parade and move.

I think the reason I did both was because of my utter lack of knowledge of the area, and rather than make a wrong move, I just used up 2 FP+ for both events. I don't regret it. We were there for a week, and had 2 other days at the MK planned, as well as being there that morning for RD and then taking a bit of a nap before returning for parade and wishes.

I'll tell you where the most magical place to watch the fireworks really was, on the balcony of our room at the Contemporary. Worth EVERY PENNY to watch those beauties every night in my jammies with a beverage and my kids asleep inside.

Thanks Robo, but wouldn't have people already staked out the red arrow area and be a little peeved at me planting my family there? I've seen some fairly negative reactions to people feeling someone is taking an inch of "their" space....enough that I'm willing to use a FP so no one gets mad at me, lol.

The question is, WHEN would they have staked out those spots?

There was a parade going on there until just a few moments before.

I've shown the location.
Savvy guests can figure the timing.

Because that green area is the parade route, alot of people are getting settled for a few minutes. Some people are following the parade t get directly in front of the castle for the projection show, some are headed to an attraction etc.

If you have a big group or smaller kids, it can be tricky because like you eluded to; it doesn't take much to start a confrontation.
