El Pirata Y el Perico - open?

Is El Pirata Y el Perico open now? Do you think it will be open the 1st 2 weeks in August?

I'm going to wait for the answer too. We don't need the first two weeks of Aug., but does anybody know a whole schedule for this place? Just curious about it..I don't think I've ever seen it open when we've been to WDW.

Sorry I don't have the answer to this but I am curious if it will be open too. We will be there in the 1st week of August. Husband really wants to try this, but it has always been closed when we visit

We have gone September, October, December, February, March, and May and have never seen this place open!!

I too have been many times and never seen it open! Im starting to believe its just a myth!

I didn't know I was lucky to have had lunch there in 2004 (march). I did love my taco salad. It has never been open while we are there since

We are going Aug 22-24 and DH hopes it is open...I dont because we ate there the end of March and it was terrible...kept repeating on me all night long

It was open when I was there in May .. I think it was only open for lunch though.. not dinner.. and my tacos were so good!

You never know from day to day when it will be open...it could be open one day during a particular week and not again for 2-3 weeks! I agree with penjen...the taco salads are great!

It was open in May when we were there. I wonder why it is seasonal it has good food.

It was open Memorial Day weekend, we had lunch there. That is the only time we've seen it open.

We ate there in February of '06 and they had a much better menu then. I had beef empanadas which were great, and they had tacos on the kids menus. Seriously, what kid wants a plain cheese quesadilla? They weren't open this past February but that's ok - since my kids wouldn't eat those darn quesadillas anyway!

We ate there once in December but we go at the end of August now and it is never open. If you are willing to settle for the Taco Salad they serve the same one at Pecos Bills which is always open.
