Ejected from the park!

We were at WDW during Easter week one year. We were waiting in front of the Emporium for the Easter Parade. Across Main Street, there was a 3 or 4 year old pulling/playing on the rope to mark the parade. An older man and his companion were being constantly hit by this rope on their heads. I could tell the man was going to blow. It looked like he asked the kid to stop but it made her pull harder. The parents weren't paying attention until this man got up and grabbed the little girl's hand off the rope. The Dad threw a punch at this guy and before he could connect, Disney security was on top of them. Both parties were escorted out and didn't come back. Don't know what the outcome between the 2 parties was. I just couldn't believe something like this would happen or that security showed up so fast!

It's too bad he didn't just grab the rope. She couldn't have pulled it then.

Based on the discussion from another thread, it appears that WDW does very little to control unruly guests. I'm curious to know if anyone has

1.) Seen someone be ejected from a WDW park (if so do you know why).
2.) Caused someone to be ejected from a WDW park and why.
3.) Been ejected from a WDW park (if you're willing to admit it and why).

From all accounts I've read, the CMs and security are either powerless or unwilling to do anything to anybody for fear of either liability or offending someone. I've always heard that WDW has plain clothes security but I've never once seen them or a CM intervene in a situation where a guest or group of guests were was causing a problem. I know they'll come out of the woodwork for a lost/missing child or for a medical emergency which is commendable but there are many of instances where their intervention would improve the overall park experience for others. Just curious.

Have never been ehjected but know people do get ejected because family member is one that helps determines if you get ejected or arrested.

I really enjoy this thread. It's a shame that Disney has to do it but it just seems that you can see the best and worst of people when you're there.

A couple of years ago my then-boyfriend was not allowed to enter DHS because of his t-shirt. It was a Chicago Cubs shirt and the player's name on the back was ***udome. Security approached him and he really thought they were kidding. It hadn't even crossed our minds that it could ever be considered inappropriate.

DH had the same exact problem at work! His uncle bought him a Kosuke jersey for Christmas last year. He wore it to work one day and some of the girls in his department tried to have him written up for inappropriate dress! Luckily his supervisor understood, but he's not allowed to wear his jersey to work anymore!

Darn Disney! They must be Rays fans!

After years as a cast member and guest, I have seen many people ejected and reported several.
1. I was riding Splash mountain as a guest and the college kids on the boat in front kept jumping out of the boat, standing up, and trading seats. Just before the double hump, the boat I was in stopped for an unusually long time. When we started going again, the entire boat of kids was gone!
2. Driving a shuttle for the backlot tour, a group of international tourist decided they were not going to sit on the wet seats. We stopped the shuttle and kept all the doors closed until security came by and escorted them away.
3. A group of pop warner cheerleaders decided to move all the strollers into the middle of a path and use the pavement to practice their tossing. They were not escorted out but security stood there and made the girls put every single stroller back up.
4. The most dramatic! At Lights Motors Action, there are sensors throughout the lot to immediately stop all cars if someone passes during a show. Three guys were upset they did not make it in time for the show and decided to jump the gate... onto the track! You could smell burning rubber for miles since all cars came to a stop including one about 10 feet from the dip----s. One of my favorite security guards was a tiny little old man who looked fragile and weak. That man jumped the fence once the cars stopped and had all 3 in handcuffs amazingly fast.

a lot of men are ejected from the park. how do i know? its easy. if youve been ejected, youre only allowed back in if you wear hawaiian shirts tucked in. shorts and belt half-way up their stomachs. black socks pulled up just below the knees. square peaked baseball caps and open-faced sandals. if they committed a somewhat stronger crime, they also have to carry all the bags and have a wife who is clearly in charge, due to her exceedingly loud voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Years ago, I saw a man and his son being ejected in DLP. I bet you won't believe me, but it is in fact true!
They were both standing at the water on the right behind MainStreet and held something like a self-made magnetic-fishing rod. They tried to pull the coins out of the water.
They were ejected immediately.

I was in AK once and there was a small child with his two parents walking down the rough/gravel path with no shoes on. One of the CM's came up to them (the dad also had no shirt on) and told them that they needed to put shoes on the child and the dad had to put a shirt on. They IMMEDIATELY responded in a very belligerent manner, telling the CM exactly how much money they had spent to travel there, enter the parks, etc. The CM remained very professional, explained the dress code, and they even offered a FREE t-shirt for the guy and to take him to where he could by some inexpensive flip-flops for the child. This (which seemed like a nice offer to me) just enraged the woman even further, and they both started getting up in the CM's face. At that point, he said a few words into his little radio, and was like, "OK, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to escort you guys out". He started marshaling them toward the exit, them screaming and yelling the whole time, and as they walked several security officers joined the procession. By the time they got to the gate, there were no less than 6 uniformed officers walking with them. Unfortunately there was no way Disney could handle this in a discreet manner, but I thought they did a great job of handling it professionally nonetheless.

Two things I've personally witnessed:

A very drunk and belligerent man being carried out of the front gates of MK by uniformed security. This happened right as I got to the parks and was headed through the turnstiles, so I didn't see what he specifically did, but I'm guessing it had something to do with being drunk and rowdy. Since there's no alcohol in MK, either he came there already trashed or somehow managed to sneak something in (my bets are on the first one). It was also only around 11:00 AM, so he must have started drinking the moment he got up. At any rate, he was fighting the two guards who were escorting him, so another one came up behind him, grabbed his legs, and they carried him like a plank of wood, struggling all the way.

On a different trip, there was a father and son (the kid was maybe 10) who were trying to skip to the front of the line on Splash Mountain. First they went in the Fastpass entrance and were stopped by the CM who saw they didn't have FPs. The guy tried to argue with the CM, but she sent him to the back of the line. Then they tried to push their way to the head of the line. They would push past about 20 people or so, stop, wait a few minutes, then push past several more. They pushed past me and my group, and a family in front of us told the next CM that they'd been line jumping, though they were completely out of sight by that point. A few minutes later, we see the man and kid being escorted the opposite way down the Fastpass line, escorted by a CM with a radio. I don't know what happened after that, because I'd gotten too far into the attraction to see the entrance.

We had a friend who (a long time before we knew him) got ejected from Disneyland. He was caught smoking pot and was taken to a back room and sat there a long time. Finally a guy in a suit came in with a clipboard and said, "look what you did" flipped the clipboard around and showed him a picture of Mickey crying. He was then taken out of the park and told he couldn't ever come back. Kinda hillarious...but now he has a small child and can't go to Disney...so, it gets a lot less funny now that he's grown up.

Good question. Maybe it's possible to seek special dispensation from Mickey! Kind of like requesting a pardon from the governor.

I wonder how many grown-ups are out there, thinking they can never go back to Disney with their children, significant other or by themselves.

That's just plain insane. I really have a hard time believing Disney will refuse to let a 30 + year old back into the park for something stupid they did as a teen.

Almost EVERY teen does stupid things a few times. Growing older and gaining more experience usually resolves the issue. For those who don't gain a lick of sense and get banned again as an adult - oh well, too bad at that point. But surely Disney gives the majority of adults a second chance.

She was escorted out after shooting the Big Bad Wolf from a helicopter.

They wouldn't, unless you do something stupid and get caught on property. Or have an accident that requires medical attention, or your kid does. Then you will be prosecuted for trespassing and end up in non-Disney jail.

I'd agree; I saw this a couple of years ago at the Trevi Fountain in Rome. We were just relaxing there on holiday, and saw two men with these magnet things on string. They were taking advantage of the crowd; they'd toss in the magnet and then pull it out full of money.

Yeah, cops showed up. Didn't see them the rest of the week.
