Eisner's Retirement Perks

I don't know if this story has been posted anywhere on the boards but I found it interesting and outrageous.

Take some consolation, wbk, in the fact that Eisner's deal may not come to pass. One thing the Chicago Tribune article points out is that there is a lot more scrutinety of corporate spending these days and Eisner's package seems like it would only come into play if he survives until 2006 when his contract expires. If the board boots him out sooner, they will probably re-negotiate the severance package to one extent or another.

You should also keep in mind that Eisner's retirement benefits aren't really any different from any other exec at his level, and they're tame when compared to the retirement packages for lots of other companies. You have to look at it in context.
