Eight Passenger MiniVan Question -- Size

So, National and Alamo offer these 8 passenger minivans. Never been in one of these vans.

I just found out I now have 8-people to deal with for my trip. Are the 8-passenger vans "acceptable" for 8 adults?

Notice I said acceptable, not comfortable. In truth, though, everyone is pretty much average to "skinny" size in our party -- tending toward skinny.

Two questions.

#1. Are you going to be schlepping around 8 people *AND* luggage at the same time?

#2. How long will all 8 adults be in the vehicle? Are we talking a ride from the airport to WDW and around property, or are we talking a ride from NYC to Orlando?

We are meeting up at WDW. The primary number of people and luggage in van from airport will be five with luggage.

But, would like to take short trips (20 minutes max., maybe) with eight people. No luggage on the eight people trips (well, the odd coat, purse, bottles of rum, chest of gold).

So, as long as it would be somewhat comfortable for 20, maybe 30 minutes....

it might work if one of the 8 is teen sized but for 8 full sized adults it will be tight. I would put the 3 smallest on the middle seat. I would have a plan in case it does not work

Thanks for the input. I will have to think it out a bit. My wife and I are both marathon runners (she's the better runner). I'm 6'2" and around 200 pounds.

She's 5'7" and about 115/20. I don't know the actuals on any of the others, but one woman is petite, about 5'5" and probably 110.....she's also a runner.

The rest are all average-ish, so maybe it could work out...

I have an 8 passenger odyssey. Yesterday I took 7 adults on a 2 1/2 drive one way. 3 were not small and 3 were small to average. We were quite comfortable for the drive.
I would think a 20-30 min drive should be fine. I would double check that it is for sure 8 passengers. There are very few minivans with seating for 8, most are just 7.
