Why doesn't the man just stop? Am I the only one who thinks that the only thing he can do now is further disgrace his name? The story says he wants to, "create a company that will create movie, TV and Broadway productions". Well isn't that pretty much what Disney did? Hasn't he already had his chance to prove that he could run an organization like that and failed? I mean he can do what he wants and probably has enough money to fund it on his own, but he just seems completely dillusional to me. I think he is set on becoming a Walt Disney himself, although it is obvious to everyone but him that he will never be that.

What's your definition of failed? Geez, he increased Disney's net worth by how many times over?

I understand many people think he failed in not behaving or pursuing Disney like ventures or in Disney like ways but from a spreadsheet perspective it seems he, at the very least held his own. Not what we may have wanted from Disney, but still...

IMO, as long as he's not at Disney, he can do whatever he wants. Did anyone really think he'd retire from Disney and just go fishing?

DisFlan

He did do a lot for Disney but that was many years ago. As long as he does nothing regarding Disney, the world is safe :flower:
For whatever reason, he thinks he walks on water; I personally am waiting for him to realize he can't.

The rest of Hollywood is laughing at him. The people mentioned that he might work with are distancing themselves from him. Yeah, this will go well.

Any movies, television programs, or theatrical productions from Eisner's new company will involve business dealing with movie distributors, networks or cable channels, and theater companies. I only hope that if Eisner approaches Disney, Eisner will treated the same as any other production company executive.

I would hate to think that Eisner will benefit because of his status as the former CEO, a major Disney shareholder, and his role in installing the current senior executives at Disney.

If Eisner's new compnay produces great creative works, then I would be glad to see Disney involved with Eisner. If Eisner's new compnay produces junk, I would hate to see Disney involved.

Your humor kills me HH, you must be either one of the few ex-military officers that doesn't work in the defense industry, or a former politician that doesn't work as a lobbyist!

Well, there’s

Michael Ovitz
GO.com
The Secret Lab
The Disney Institute
“Am I Hot or Not?”
Disney’s California Adventure
Euro Disney
Jeffrey “The Midget” Katzenberg
Lord of the Rings – but only as one movie
Harv Weinstein
Disney Feature Animation
The Disney Stores
DVC Vero Beach and Hilton Head
Airplane lease write-offs
Elementary School Principal sitting on the Board of Director
Stock price
Disney Feature Animation – Florida
Pearl Harbor – a can’t miss blockbuster
Hollywood Records
Buena Vista Interactive
Fox Family – ABC Family
Hollywood and Highland
“Mickey and Friends” Parking Structure
Jane Eisner – costume designer
The Wonderful World of Disney
‘The Muppets Wizard of Oz’
Hollywood Pictures
Voted the Worst Board of Directors in America for years running
‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ – four nights a week!

But why belabor the point.

Disney is certainly a much bigger company today, but whether or not it’s a better company is certainly open to debate. For all the time and effort, ABC is still at a net loss since the acquisition. Imagine had they taken the tiniest fraction of a percentage of the billions spent on the network and used it instead to make a fantastic animated movie instead. Disney would be ahead of the game by hundreds of millions of dollars now.

P.S. No one in Hollywood is taking Eisner Studios seriously. It’s a good case of “what goes around, comes around”. His best shot is to produce plays on Broadway. They’re so desperate for money out there they will accept anyone.

Wow if $450 million makes a failure, than I wish I was a failure. lol

Pearl Harbor...The script was originally called "Tennessee", and was sold to Disney for approximately $2 million....

From IMDB.com.... I want to know the whole story?

Did anyone mention "The Alamo"? He'd better not come to Texas.

I hope he does create a new company. Hopefully he will have to sell (lot's of) Disney stock to finance it!!!!!!!!
