Just got back a few days ago and needed to share this story. While having lunch at CP we asked all the characters to sign a copy of AA Milne's "The Many Adventure of Winnie the Pooh". When Eeyore saw the book he got really excited and after signing it started to point to his picture. I jokingly said "Well you know Eeyore, the stories are mostly about Pooh, not you." He then pointed at me, then his mouth, and then his butt before walking off. I asked my wife if Eeyore just signed what I think he did and she agreed.
:rotfl2:

It totally made my entire trip!

We have a picture of my wife being punched in the head by Eeyore from our honeymoon. (He's not really punching her... it's just one of those weird photos wherein the positions of people and the angles make it look like something's happening when it isn't.)

When my kids were little they developed a kind of hatred for Eeyore because of the photo of him 'punching Mommy in the head.' :)

Hate to disappoint ya... but I think it is more likely that Eeyore was trying to communicate with you that there are parts in the book about him, related to how he is always losing his tail (hence the pointing at himself and then his tail end). :confused3

You're forgetting the part about pointing to the OP, then his mouth, then his rear end. That's about as clear a "you kiss my butt" as you're going to get from a non-speaking character.

poor Eeyore. that wasn't very nice of you to say. i can't say i much blame him for his actions. :thumbsup2:lmao:

I suppose he may have been trying to remind me of that story (and really probably was) but I am still gonna go with the kiss my butt reference.

This reminded me of a photo my parents have of me and Robin Hood having a cigarette in MK when I was 7yo. Boy was my Mom confused when she got the pictures developed. :lmao: Apparently, there was a woman smoking right behind us and her arm appears to replace my arm. :rotfl2:

Umm hate to disappoint ya, but I'm sure its pretty clear what he was saying.. Its not a matter of interpreting it to be vulgar, its a matter of fact. And I'm sure Eeyore wasnt trying to be offensive he was probably trying to humor the OP, and obviously was successful in doing so. Its aweful funny that everybody else can find the humor in this and you cant.

I'm just saying;)

This is why Eeyore is one of my favorite characters. Who can't love a gloomy slow-paced donkey with a sense of humor? :)

Hey remember that eeyore is a jack$$$,truly thats what he is!:rotfl2:

That is hilarious! Gotta love Eeyore! I am visiting him in two weeks at the CP, I wonder if I should bring a reminder :rotfl:

I was going to PM you, but realized I can't for some reason - but wanted you to know that my first reaction was probably similar to yours. :thumbsup2

:sad2:

I am glad the OP thought it was funny and glad it made his trip...but I would have been really mad. :sad2: I guess Eyeore knew his audience.

I'm not sure if you're quite following what happened, given that Matt's Mom edited her entire response.

Originally, she claimed that the OP misinterpreted Eeyore's 'sign language,' and that Eeyore was only trying to explain to the OP that there were stories in the book about him losing his tail.

I pointed out that Eeyore's meaning was pretty clear, given the fact that he pointed at the OP, then pointed at his mouth, and then pointed at his rear-end. That's not "there are stories in there about me losing my tail." That's "you kiss my butt."

Matt's Mom thinks we're purposefully interpreting Eeyore's innocent comment in a way that's vulgar. I think Matt's Mom is stretching credulity to interpret it in the 'innocent' way.

People like Matt'sMom crack me up, so defensive about the characters acting pure and innocent and nice-nice... Because god forbid a Disney character acts "fresh" in any way, shape or form. There's no mistaking what he was trying to say. And I think it's hilarious.

you are right! I did misinterpret what she said. Thank you for the clarification.

I do think she and I may be closer to the same page than most posting here, though...I think it was wrong for Eyeore to "say" that, even if it was pretty funny.

And I hope Matt's Mom is actually right in her interpretation - I like the Eyeore I have in my "imagination" much better than one that would tell me that. :(
