I read somewhere that you can get your EEMH wrist band up to 2 hours before the park closes to the public. My problem is we will be at dinner one of the nights and we won't know what time we will be out. Where do we get our wrist band if the park is already closed to the public?

You can still get wristbands in the designated areas after the park officially closes to the public. At MK you can get it right there as you go in the gate before you go under the train station. Or you can get it at a number of other places in the park. All 4 have somewhere in the front of the park and a few more places around the park. Don't worry, if you have a onsite hotel key you will get in for EMH.

It might be a silly question, but I know you need to get the wrist bands, but how do the close the park down to the general public that is already in the park? Only people with bands on the attractions? What about shopping?

That's exactly what happens - only people with wristbands can ride. If you're in the park on an EMH night and not staying onsite you can stay to shop and eat but not ride.

But what if I'm not in the Magic Kingdom at 9:00. Let's say we leave at 6:00 and don't return until 9:15. Is there a place outside the gates to get the band? Or will they just let us inside the park and we go to a band place to get them bands? HAHA (It sounded funny)

They let you in when you show your resort id...

Is there only a certain amount of people that can get one or as long as you have a room key. I ask this because one of the nights we are there MK closes at 6 for a special event and Epcot is open later so i am guessing that everyone will flock over to epcot. Thanks

I don't know of any limit to the number of people allowed in to the evening EMH. I overheard a Cast Member one time say that unless they run out of wristbands everyone staying at a Disney resort can enter. The old E-nights had a limit of something like 5,000 tickets sold. The evening EMH parks during busy times can be as crowded as during the day. Last June we found the evening EMH a total waste. The wait times were really long. Even the FP return times went last into the night if you didn't get them right at the start of the EMH. We still find all the parks at opening to be much more enjoyable. You can get a lot done in a few hours in the morning before the really big crowds arrive.

These "what if" EMH threads always take on the tone of PANIC!!!

What if I'm 15 minutes late or 3 hours early and they just gave out the last wrist-band at Pirates and I my Pal Mickey needs batteries and I'm getting thirsty and the Haunted Mansion is busy and I just want to buy popcorn and see Wishes from the Poly and my resort bus might leave me and my feet are tired and we have ressies at Epcot the next day and...

I'm KIDDING, but folks, R-E-L-A-X!!!

If you are an on-site resort guest, you can come to the evening EMH at any time before or during the extended hours.

There are plenty of wrist-bands for all.

AND there are usually PLENTY of other guests... that's the biggest "problem" you'll likely have.

We stayed for EMH at the Magic Kingdom, and the line for Space Mt. was out into the plaza area. Same with Splash Mt. We ended up leaving way before the time was up. Then we decided to only use the early EMH's.

Do they still run FP's machines on EMH nights ?

Lets say normal FP's go till 9 PM

Can you get a FP which says 10 PM to 11 PM on an EMH night ?

Yes, EMH is really crowded at night. Last year, my wife and I only did it for one park, Epcot. We knew it was going to be busy, but we still had a few things there that we did not do yet. We went ahead and did all the small things that we had not done yet, and we even used a fast pass that we forgot to use ealier in the day (the Living Land, which now has a pretty long line becuase of soarn' being in the same building). It was nice and relaxing for us, becuase we already did all the big stuff in the morning and afternoon. We just walked around and people watched for the most part. We were going to do Test Track again but the wait was 2 hour+ for it and we did not want to wait the 45mins that Fast Pass was giving out at that time.

When I was there in October 2005, they shut down all FP machines before EMH started.
