Ok my problem is heights and as long as the RC is in the dark or i can be flung into mountain i'm fine(i know crazy).

I've done RRC,Space mount,Big thunder,and Mummy(Universal).

There are still section of BTM that i have issues with sometimes.

So EE experts would this be my next step?

If you have done RRC and Big Thundrer Mountain, then you should be able to do EE. We thought it was great and there was only one drop but it wasn't bad at all.

I used to avoid high roller coasters, before I rode RNR 7 yrs ago. You're right about the darkness making it easier - I've only been on one other outdoor coaster that loops since.

I think the theming of the mountain disguises the height EE. When you reach the top where the track is "broken" there is so much going on around you that you don't even notice how high it is.

I definitely don't want to scare you away from EE, which is a fantastic coaster (Disney's best, IMO), but if heights bother you, be aware you will have a few moments where you will be climbing to the top of the attraction, with a clear and unobstructed view from up high. Look at pictures of EE, at the first climb hill, and you'll get an idea of what I mean.

You will be very aware you are up high; there simply is no question about it. But if you close your eyes you don't necessarily have to see that bit and you won't be missing much in the way of theming (you go through a 'sanctuary' of sorts, but that's all you'll miss). Once you're past that part you will have no sensation of height.

EE isn't that bad....at it's highest point you can see forever, but as well as i can remember you can't see straight down. Maybe I just didn't look. I don't like tall coasters where you can see straight down either, but I never thought about it on Everest.

There definately is no huge drop, where you can see where you are going. I didn't find any of the ride uncomfortable. What parts of BTMRR bothered you? If you liked Rockin Roller Coaster and Space Mountain, I can't figure out what BTMRR could do to you...EE is alot like BTMRR in some parts.

I am the same way. Exactly the same way. Heights freak me out on roller coasters. That first slow climb to the top. I have a problem with Space Mountain even though it's in the dark. I've seen it with the lights on and I know how high it is. Rock N Roller Coaster is fine because you get shot off.

I LOVED Expedition Everest. Even that first incline isn't that bad. I even looked to the right and saw the lake. It's such a smooth ride, it doesn't feel like a roller coaster.

I love RnR because it is fast, smooth, and indoors which means the hills cannot be that high!

What scares me on any roller coaster is the high, steep drops. I don't like the feeling in my stomach. I won't go on ToT because of it, I haven't been on Splash Mountain because of it. I sit in the front on Space Mountain and strain my eyes trying to see the hills so I can hold my breath as we go over each hill.

We were in WDW for mother's day and I thought if my 65 year old mom was riding EE, I should too. So I did. I will admit I thought about getting out as soon as I sat down. And I was panicking a bit as the train started to move. But then I went on it 3 more times in a row.

The hills are high, but not steep. The track curves so that you don't get that stomach dropping to your feet or jumping up into your throat feeling. It is a gentle roller coaster. Very smooth like RnR.

I think you should try it. As I kept telling myself the first time, "It'll be over in 2 minutes and I never have to do it again...it'll be over in 2 minutes and I never have to do it again...it'll be over in 2 minutes and I never have to do it again."

Have fun!!!

Our 7-year-old's first roller coaster ever was front car on EE. He loved it. A few days later he was on RnR next to me - a little nervous because of the fast start. After the ride, I asked him "how did you like going upside down?" He looked at me and said "We went upside down???"

In short, go do EE. Have fun!

EE is really a gentle coaster. My DH who is terrified of ToT, because of the drop, loved EE. He didn't experience any of those feelings that you get in your stomach when you have a big drop. He actually rode it again with me. Now, if I could only get him on the ToT.

I was pretty much feeling the same as you were in considering riding EE. Height is the biggest problem I have with most coasters, which is why I don't usually ride them. I won't sugar-coat it for you, EE is definitly high, and you know it. Having said that, the only part that is bad is right in the begining, and your ascent is quick and smooth (no really loud clicking and such which I really hate). I just closed my eyes and before I knew it, that part was over and we were inside the mountain. I screamed like a little baby for the majority of the ride :scared:, but it was great and I would definitly reccomend it. Don't miss this ride! Hope that helps.

I'm not too wild about heights either. Sit on the left side. That first hill looks VERY high if you are on the right, not so bad on the left. Just keep your eyes closed. At the broken tracks part, you can't really see how far up you are unless you're sitting near the front.
