We will be there in early Feb and it seems that people think we have a shot at riding EE.

My question is, is there a way to ask the hotel workers or anyone else if it is running on a certain day? We will be at the Poly and plan on going to AK on the 2nd. If I was able to find out the morning of the 5th, for example, that it was running, I'd make a special trip.

So is there anyone/any way of finding out without going to AK and asking?

Thanks!

No they won't know. You just have to be lucky. It could be running for an hour or two then shut down for the day.

When they were having soft openings for Soarin I went over many times and never got to ride. But many reported having success. It just depends. No published schedule.

Same thing when Test Track opened we went over lots of times and it was closed then one afternoon they had CM's letting people know in the area that it was open for a test if we wanted to wait.
No fast pass we waited for about a hour through the line up of how cars are made but the ride was pretty cool.
Hopefully Dh will be able to get on EE while we are there in Feb. However I wont be too sad if he cant I would like to go too. ( See counter to explain)
Perhaps next time.

Years ago when Twilight of Terror was built we were staying at the Poly. The ride was not scheduled to open for a couple of months so we gave it no thought. The person at the front desk the day we checked in happened to be from the same city we were from and lived only a few blocks as it turned out from us. So we kind of got friendly with him while there. One morning after breakfast we ran into him and he said where are you going today and we were on our way to Epcot. He said you may want to go to MGM as there is a rumor Twilight will open for a short time today. We went he was right and we rode it twice because it took a while before people in the park realized it was opened. There was no announcement at the park that I heard but somehow this hotel staff knew about it and let us in on it.
