We have annual passes but are staying at the Disneyland Hotel. Do we get Early Entry? What are the normal days? Should I wait at the front gate or take the monorail? Thanks...

Since you are staying onsite, you will get EE... Whether or not to take the monorail depends on how long the line is. They won't let you go in until the EE time has started and going thru the security check can take a bit depending on the CM's working the table... We have done it, but we were there extra early and were the 2nd group in line.

On-site guests get access to EE in DL each day that it is offered: Mon, Tues, Thurs and Sat.

HTH. :thumbsup2

Wouldn't it be faster to wait in line at the front of the park gates than wait to go thru security etc on the monorail?

Not necessarily. They start guests at the monorail through security several minutes prior to opening. I have heard they even have a group loaded on teh monorail and waiting for the EE time, then they start moving. I have never done this myself, but I have read many reports of this.

Good to know! So if there isn't a line to get onto the monorail in the morning it would be okay to wait for them to open it up. Otherwise just make your way to the main gates - correct?

Of course, I might go straight to the main gates anyway -- nothing can compare to walking down DL's main street first thing in the morning!

Yep, that is EXACTLY why I haven't tried this yet. I can't bring myself to not walk down Main Street USA when entering the park first thing in the morning.

Does CA have EE?

You know, when I went 2 years ago, it didn't; but someone posted on one of the forums I read (maybe this one!) that they have been opening DCA at 9:30 just for Soarin'.

Can anybody verify this?

It just occurred to me......How do the CM's know your staying onsite or off? If you present your parkhopper pass or your AP how would they know? Just wondering thanks!:goodvibes

Yes, they open CA front gates at 9:30 am and the only attraction open during this time is Soarin. They have a rope drop at 10 am for other areas of the park.

To prove you are staying onsite the front gate CM's ask to see your charge slip from one of the resort hotels which show your dates of stay. That is how they verify you are an on-site guest.
