Does EE apply to Swan/Dolphin? What about DD offsites? I assume yes to S/D and no to the DD offsites.

The press release on the theme park strategies board that someone posted said that Swan/ Dolphin and Hilton at DD both have EE...none of the other DD hotels were listed.

When we used EE we had length of stay passes that were coded into our room keys. During our trip this summer, we bought parkhopper passes before getting to WDW, so they weren't hooked into our room keys. I suppose they would ask to see room keys before allowing people into EE. That would be simple enough.

I never used the perk much, but I believe they are supposed to check for your resort ID card at the gate.

Yes, EE is back as of Oct. 1st!!!

We've never had them check to make sure we were staying onsite before allowing us into EE. I think they should.

The last few times that we used EE we were asked to show a resort ID to be able to get to the monorail (for EE to MK or Epcot).

In the past they did not regularly check for resort IDs (except to let folks onto the monorail at TTC), which was a complaint of many guests. Perhaps this time around they will be more strict in order to protect the incentive to stay on site.

"THEY" (The POWERS in charge) read the DIS and will institute the necessary changes (such as mandatory I.D./Resort checking) to insure EE runs smoothly this time around. If it is truly a PERK for resort guests ONLY, then DISNEY should INSURE resort guests are the ONLY persons entering the parks for EE!

At other area theme parks (IOA, US), guests are required to present resort ID's to access the FOTLA feature. It is checked, and re-checked again (sometimes 3X) before you access the attraction. Consistency is of the utmost importance.

Since Disney instituted "baggage" checks w/security personnel prior to entering the parks (post 911), I would hope they are able to perform the simple task of checking guests resort ID's on EE mornings. We did not use EE often, but just "knowing" the luxury of entering a park Early (if desired) is available....is a wonderful feature of being a WDW Resort guest. ;)

We have been asked for resort ID on EE mornings on several different trips, but not all the time.

I also have co-workers who have stayed offsite, and been admitted for EE without asking for ID.

I hope they check for resort ID's or I am sure it will be over crowded. I know we have never experienced them checking ID's in the past.
