EE and Crowd Levels at AK

Does anyone know if EE's soft opening is having an effect on crowd levels at AK? Are the lines for less popular attractions increasing as people go to them while waiting for their FP return time to EE? Also, are people staying at the park longer now that EE is open or do most people still leave AK early to mid-afternoon?

Hello!

We were there on the 8th, and didn't notice much of a difference. The wait line for EE was only 10 min, and I think this was because most people didn't know it was open. The park map doesn't even list EE, it still says "under construction". I found AK to be the least busy park of them all!

Thanks for the info Wazzo! I hope the soft opening stays a secret by the time we arrive at WDW on March 12th (just in time for the spring break crowds!) I'm afraid the word will be out-when I made my resort reservation the CM asked me if I knew about EE and told me about the soft opening. Same thing happened when I made dining reservations. I can't wait to ride though, even if I have to stand in line for awhile!

Just don't go to DAK on a weekend. All the Florida residents seem to be doing weekend or day trips up here just to do Everest. Weekdays aren't bad at all.

Thanks for the tip. It makes sense that Florida residents would want to try Everest, but it hadn't ocurred to me until I saw your post!
