Editing software

My opinion is to use a card reader and not to use any software to move the files from the card to the computer. They can be found for less than $10, so the battery charge saved alone will pay for itself quickly.

I agree 100%:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

For those that have purchased software from adobe, what did you provide as proof of enrollment or eligibility? I am trying to order Lightroom 2 and it is asking for proof of eligibility.

Thanks in advance.

I have never bought from adobe direct, but I have used Campus Tech and I used my son's report card one time, and his valid student ID another.

Thanks. We got one of those yesterday. I wonder if they will believe that might Kindergarten aged son is interested in Lightroom 2.

journey ed doesn't care what age they are, they mention that on their site.

I went through Academic Superstore, they accept K-12 and higher education so you should be good. We used DD's school I.D. I think it's good for three years.

JourneyEd connected to my school's web site to verify my enrollment. Photomatix only wanted a .edu email address.

Adobe has a lot of info on thier educational website on what constitutes an educational purchase. Their flyer at http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/openoptions/pdfs/cs4_k12_stu_licensing_datasheet_ue_final.pdf has the nessesary docs if you buy directly from the website. If I recall, for a teacher, a paystub and/or a scan of an ID card with current year was ok, for students, a fee's recipt(university/college) or some other proof of enrollment from the school on some kind of official letterhead would probably work.

Since we don't have student Id's, I will have to try the report card. If Adobe doesn't accept it, I will just try Journey Ed.

Well I cancelled the order through Adobe and went to Journey Ed. Submitted my son's report card last night and it shipped today. I just hope my 5 year old will appreciate all of the trouble I went through to get him this software. :lmao:

I just last week ordered Lightroom through Adobe and only needed to send them my sons (2nd grade) report card. They never asked if or why he wanted it. I ordered it and the order was immediately put on hold until I faxed (the next day) the single proof. I beleive it has to have their name and well as the school name on it.
My son does not have a student ID, but they must assume that elementry school students do not have them, so the report card was enough. Adobe was great to deal with on this.

Is there any free software that you can download to get the red eyes out of digital pics? I don't have any photo editing software on my laptop and don't want to purchase any for just that...

Thanks!

I really like the website picnik.com. It's easy and has some fun things. It's free for the basic service and costs for more stuff. I've never paid, just used the fun stuff.

I use windows photo gallery for my pics, than came with my computer. Just open the photo using windows photo gallery then select "fix" then pick "red eye" and fix.......Easy and free

i'M SORRY I THINK I KILLED IT!
