does anyone have any trips they made and stayed here? if so what do you think of it? the reason im considering is we are looking for a good price, but we need a room with 2 beds, but in seperate sleeping rooms. but everything else i see that says its a two room suite, well the beds are right next to eachother!:confused3 but this one has seperate sleeping rooms in the one hotel room. anyone have any reviews on this place, or perhaps know of any other good places with seperate sleeping in the hotel room, thanks!

I had a ressie at Eden Roc, it was the cheapest place I could find within "Short"walking distance.

But then after reading lots of negatives on TripAdvisor, Priceline etc I decided to cancel. The only positives were that the staff was nice and that if you don't care about cleanliness it's not that bad. I also didn't like the paper thin walls I read about on reviews. I'm driving 6 hours back home..I need a good nights sleep.

I spoke with someone at another hotel who used to work at Eden Roc and he mentioned that the motel was built in the 50's. He said many of the AC units do not work, the hot water goes from boiling hot to freezing cold while showering and they can't afford to fix it. I was at DL last year in June with a 90+ heat wave..I am not taking that chance!

I did not book with his hotel so I don't think he had an alterior motive. When I jokingly said "you're just trying to get me to book with you" he said,"no, I just don't want your trip to be ruined."

So I spent a little more to stay some place closer and cleaner.
:)

okay im definetely not booking there, lol. i read bad reviews as well but thought id ask some people here:) thanks!

I feel bad bashing the place, maybe it's not that bad but I don't want to ruin our one and only vacation this Summer to save 30 bucks per night.

My friend and her kids are coming too so I would be ruining their vacation as well.

Also, people said in their reviews to bring your own pillows and towels. I barely have enough room in the back of my minivan for luggage for 6 people I can't bring all that too. It defeats the purpose of paying for a place to stay.
