Disagree as the ladies are all pretty strong, although Ego and Melissa are underutilized. Check out Melissa on the Tonight Show where she did some spot on impressions.

Bowen has been good in his first season, and Kenan has always been sneaky good at controlling a sketch. The rest of the guys, to be honest, are mostly interchangeable.

She was also on Comedians in cars getting coffee and I gained a new respect for her. She’s very talented.

My dd21 was like oh Dr Doolittle. I was like um yeah but he was Raw back in the day, lol.

I was hoping for the dinner scene that an aunt with a lot of hair would be at the table and Eddie would say on a back scene that she was a Bigfoot(Google delirious act for those who don't know)

Loved seeing Dave Chappelle on the monologue.

BTW I totally said something to DH about the craziness of Cosby being in jail and Eddie doing just great and 3 seconds later Eddie launched into his bit about just that during the monologue. Eddie Murphy is a comedy genius.

I've always loved the Mr. Robinson's neighborhood skits so seeing him reprise that role as well as Gumby on Weekend Update, it was comic gold! I rarely watch SNL but this episode I watched in full. Hopefully the ratings for this one was through the roof as Eddie literally saved SNL from cancellation in the 80s.

Oh, it was great! Eddie's still got it for sure. I loved the monologue with Tracy Morgan, Chris Rock, and Dave Chapelle! Then The Maked Singer - oh, as soon as I heard it I was just laughing so hard! It made me go back and watch other old sketches of his on YouTube. Good stuff!

Yes! As soon as I heard the first couple words I said, "It's Buckwheat!" and my millennial son said "who?"

I also loved seeing Dave and Chris up on stage. Two of my favorite comedians! I still quote lines from Dave Chapelle's first HBO standup routine. Comedy gold.

Murphy's jokes were "disparaging," the statement said, adding, "One would think that Mr. Murphy was given his freedom to leave the plantation, so that he could make his own decisions; but he decided to sell himself back to being a Hollywood Slave."

Wyatt's statement then appeared to accuse Murphy of perpetuating racial stereotypes by saying he was "cooning" and comparing him to Stepin Fetchit, the stage name of actor Lincoln Perry, who embodied racist cliches.

"Remember, Mr. Murphy, that Bill Cosby became legendary because he used comedy to humanize all races, religions and genders; but your attacking Mr. Cosby helps you embark on just becoming click bait," Wyatt's statement said.
"Hopefully, you will be amenable to having a meeting of the minds conversation," the statement said, "in order to discuss how we can use our collective platforms to enhance Black people rather than bringing all of us down together."

Bill Cosby called Murphy 30 years ago and told him his filthy comedy was a bad influence on family morality. So it's about time Cosby got his comeuppance. People in glass houses, you know...

Anyway, I haven't watched SNL in I don't know how many years, but when I heard Eddie Murphy was hosting I had to tune in. It was great!
