Have stayed at BCV, BWV, and the new Poly villas but have never noticed until this trip, a week at BLT ending tomorrow, so many ECVs parked in hallways or near the elevators. I stayed here last year around this time and don't remember it. What's going on and is this even suppose to happen?
I've seen it at most resorts. But the BLT studios are quite small and if they were being used for 4 people it could be pretty tight for the people, luggage and an ECV in the room.
I agree that the last stay at BLT there were many more ECVs in the hallway than other trips. But I also noticed that many of them were outside of dedicated 2BRs. That seemed strange to me. Maybe that's where the plugs are?
I do agree that if staying in a studio, there isn't a lot of room. However, there would be room in the entry area next to the connecting door, if you are good at parking the ECV, otherwise it would just stick out and maybe block the doorway.
My only question about having ECVs in the hallway is the safety issue if there is a fire. I am sort of surprised that DVC allows them to be parked out there.

It just seemed weird to have 3 at multiple elevator landings plus some in hallways. It was unsightly not to mention I didn't like dodging them with a stroller.
A couple of yeas ago I had two trips where I need to use an ECV. The only time I ever left it out in the hallway was when if returned to the room during the day and was going back out again and I only parked it right outside my door. I did have the smaller 3 wheeled version so it was easy to get it in & out of my Studio unit at both BCV & BWV and I kept it in the room at all times unless I was heading right back out. There are plenty of outlets in each unit for guests to plug these things in & I find it inconsiderate of any Guest to leave their scooters out in the hallways for an extended period of time especially overnight. I really wish the resorts would address this issue and make some rules. It is definitely a safety issue to have them parked where ever up & down the hallways.
When we were at BLT in late June they were everywhere as well. We also did not notice them so mucH during stays at BCV, AKV, and BWV. Thought it was odd as we have a double stroller and managed to get it into our studio...albeit very cramped.
