ECV rentals from the Disneyland Hotel - timely service?

I just broke a bone in my right foot and am now in a cast & crutches for 4 weeks, and am also staying at the DLH August 30. I will rent an ECV from DLH rather than have DH push me around the parks and DTD for 3 days (he's 6'4", so I can imagine the back-breaking effort a regular 'chair would be).

I won't be renting an ECV from the parks, but will rent directly from the hotel (DLH) instead. I know the arrangement, the pricing, etcetera. This weekend, I called DLH guest services to verify what information I could get from DIS forums. The ECVs that the hotels provide are contracted out to a 3rd party and are brought onsite upon request - apparently within 2 hours of my request.

If anyone here has had an exerience renting ECV's directly from the hotels, I'd like to ask them if the hotel ECV service (for delivery) was timely.

In October 07 we stayed at PPH and my mom decided at the last minute she wanted an ECV (she has a really bad knee). We didn't check in until after 9pm and I called the concierge to inquire about getting one by the next morning and he said no problem.

The next morning I went down to the concierge desk at 7:30am and it was there waiting for us!

Each day when we returned we would leave it with them and they would charge it up for us.

It was a great experience!

I suspect that the major providers keep a stash of ECVs at the DLH--because once when I rented an ECV and there was a problem with it I was told to take it back to the bell desk and they would give me a different one immediately--and they did.

I've never had a problem with timeliness--I've used Deckert's and most recently OCMedical as the providers. Deckert's is a little bit cheaper, but I feel like OCMedical has newer better quality ECVs. But both companies have great service.

Thanks. I called DLH last weekend to have them make the arrangements for an ECV and I see that Deckert's was the company that charged my cc. Based on good things said about Deckert from you post and others, I am feeling relieved right now.
