Can someone tell me an off-site location to rent an ECV.

I have severe plantar fasciitis for which I am currently on meds, but surgery is coming in the near future.

I read on another board that there are sites out of the theme parks that rent ECV's which would be more cost-efficient than daily rental in the parks. Is this true? and if so, where are these places.

Coming from California in October, so any advise is welcome, thanks

it is best to rent at disney. it only cost about 5.00 a day more. benefits ; you do not have to worry about enough space to access buses. if you rent wdwthey are left at each park at which you rent them... if they break down; wdw will bring you another at the park site where breakdown occurs. saves time rather than having another delivered from outside th world.:lmao:

I think it is better to rent off site. There are places that do not have ECv rentals (Downtown disney, around the resort, etc). The ones from offsite have better battery lives, are smallers, and are easier to maneuver. they also cost less. in october, you should not have any problems with room on busses.
also, the ones at the parks are first come, first serve. so if they run out, you cannot get one. you cannot rent them at one park and take them to another, so if you are planning on park hopping, you will not have to pay twice, but you will have to hope the second park has one available. park ones cannot be used on buses, monorail, etc...

i think it is better to rent off site

Thank you so much for the advice.

WDW is different from DL. There, you can park-hop with the ECV's. This is good to know.

Off-site it will be then, thank you for your help.

If you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. The top item is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information, including where people rent ECVs.
