ECV on PO Riverside boats

Yes, as far as I know the boats to Disney Springs are accessible.

Enjoy your vacation!

Just remember that with all watercraft transportation you may not be able to able due to current water levels in the waterways that may or not make it accessible for you to aboard a boat with an ECV. Alos they do limit the number of them they allow on board as well, do to space onboard.

Thank you. If you can't board the boat how can you get from DtD to PO Riverside? Is there a path you can scoot on? I know there won't be any buses as they expect you to use the boats.

There is not a path that goes from PO Riverside to DtD (now called Disney Springs); there is a path along the water that goes between PO Riverside and PO New Orleans.
There is bus service though - the boats do not run all day. The last boat coming back to PO is 11pm and I believe that starting time for the boats is 11 am.
PO, Saratoga Springs and OKW (our home resort) all use the same boats, just themed differently. The boats that go from one side of Disney Springs to the other are also the same except for theming.
They do use portable ramps for boarding of ECVs and wheelchairs. The ramps bridge the gap between the dock and the boat and also help adjust for differences in water level. In all the times we've stayed at any of the 3 resorts with boats to Disney Springs, we've never had an issue with water levels. That's not to say there could not be, but Disney has a lot more ability to manage the water levels on those waterways than the very large lakes like Bay Lake by MK.
Thos boats do not operate during thunder storms or high winds - we have had times when we could not ride because of those as well as the spots being filled.

The pictures show the boat at the OKW dock, the ramp in place and the space for mobility devices. The seats flip up to create wheelchair/ECV spots and down for seating.

Thank you Sue. Very helpful. This will be our first time staying at POR and using the boats. Glad to hear there are busses to Disney Springs :)

You will fall in love with POR - (and POFQ as well) those are some of my most favorite places in the world! :) I use an ECV, and as @SueM in MN said, you'll have no problems with the boats, unless it's stormy or too windy.

Remember you will use the MARKETPLACE docks at the far end of Disney Springs - but there is a water taxi system that can take you between the three docks. If you love the boats as much as we do, you may decide to float on over to OKW for a meal at Olivia's - that boat will depart from the middle dock, or THE LANDING. The third dock is called WEST SIDE, and it is down by House of Blues.

The boats also have a weird little schedule where they run an internal (between POR and POFQ) shuttle - it's almost not worth the bother, as by the time you wait for the boat, board the boat, ride the boat and disembark, you could have walked there... twice LOL.

When we stayed at POFQ in April/May of this year, those boats started running a loop that went POR->POFQ->Disney Springs MARKETPLACE->POFQ->POR at 10:00 am. At 11:00 am a second boat started on the river, and at that point the two boats were always at (roughly) opposite points on the same loop.

It is important to remember that the last boats depart from MARKETPLACE at 11:00 pm. The water taxis will run until later, if I remember correctly. The last bus departs Disney Springs for all Resorts at 2:00 am.
