Hi everybody, just got off the phone with DCL about the movies scheduled for our cruise. Tentatively it looks like the these are what we have in store;
POTC: On Stranger Tides
Cars 2 ( in 2D & 3D)
The Help
The Muppets ( in 2D & 3D)
People Like Us
John Carter ( in 2D & 3D)
War Horse
The Odd Life Of Timothy Green
The Avengers
Brave ( in 2D & 3D)
Plus a Disney nature movie of some sort and a possible premier of a new movie! She did say though that some of these can change before we go.
Yay, it's getting closer and closer!!!!!!!
Great! Believe it or not, I have not seen The Help. I kept trying to on the last WBTA, but there was always something better scheduled when it was being shown. I doubt I'll be seeing Timothy Green before sailing, so that's a good choice, too.

The crew talent show is on all 14 nighters!
It is so great!!!! We Loved this one on our WBTA last year!!! Who remembers this too?

Ps. I hope they don't bring Charo along that was ......(still have goosebumps and feelings like i wanna puke) . Although the guitar part was oke!!!!
Crew talent show was great! And, yes, I liked Charo, too. Our tablemates saw her au naturale (no make-up) in port and said she looked very old/worn. But, at her age (60s), she could still shake it with the best of them on stage! I was impressed with her guitar skills (and I'm old enough to remember her appearances on the Tonight Show, when her guitar playing was NOT considered her primary attribute).

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Last year on the Panama the shows were:

Jimmy Buffett tribute show called Changes in Latitude,
And that is where you would find my Larry, the Parrothead :goodvibes :hippie::flower3:....you just made him very happy that it's even a possibility.

.

We saw The Help on our cruise last September and I think you are in for a treat. We plan to see it again if it is still showing on this one. My grand-daughter told me the Avengers is good, so I hope to see that one too. (We don't go to movies very often, so we haven't see several of the ones that are listed). We always enjoy the live shows too.

DH and I saw The Help and The Muppets on Magic back in November, and loved both of them. I've seen Warhorse and really liked that, too, even though it's a very long movie!

I'd like to see Brave and Cars 2 in 3D. It seems that the only time DH and I go to the movies together is when we're on a cruise!

I am too embarassed to go to a Disney movie on my own, without a kid so I was hoping they would play it on the cruise.
I won't be embarassed to see it there and DH will come with me too - and it will be that much more special because of the setting.

Aye, Matey. pirate: There's nothin' better than seein' On Stranger Tides at the Buena Vista Theater before the Pirate Pirate party and finishin' up the night with The Curse of the Black Pearl under the stars!

We always hold off on seeing Disney movies until a cruise. There isn't a theater around as nice as the Buena Vista.

It is nice to hear that Changes in Latitudes was invited back. I met them in the hot tub before they performed on our Magic Holiday Cruise. It was their first Disney Cruise. They did a nice job and people who like Jimmy Buffet should enjoy their show.

Am I the only one excited at the thought of watching Charo live on a cruise ship? I loved watching the Love Boat as a little girl! The thought of Charo and I on the same ship is amazing even if it is 30 years later than I first pictured it happening.

Thanks and are you calling me old!
I have a feeling cruise planning will be on the back burner as we car shop.
Old? :rotfl2: no. But you're at least 1/3 as old as me, because you are already an engineer. . . I'll guess 26 . . . a mere babe.

I'm guessing she's 70ish - she knew everyone was wondering, and played with it in her routine. Still puts on a fantastic show and there was a long line of us waiting to buy her cd.

We have first seating!!!!
Yes yes yes, we were on the waiting list for this but now we have it!!!
So glad we can eat at a normal time, especialy with DD, we never know how long she stays awake!!!
In just a few more days we are paid in full and that's al there is left to do for now!!!

On the WBTA we really loved Viva Voce
And al of the Disney shows offcourse!

We also hardly ever go to the movies anymore unless it's on a cruise. We did go see one in Austin when we visited DD in March, only because she wanted us to experience a particular theater, not because we wanted to see a particular film :confused3. Funny, DD wouldn't even consider seeing a Disney movie with her friends, but she caught all the classics on the Magic last fall.

Sounds WONDERful! Glad you got what you wanted. We had to pay in full at time of booking (IGT), but we just charged it all on our Disney Visa. My mother and Jess just sent us the checks for their portions, so I also feel like I'm now really PIF! I love the interest-free period the Visa allows, but I don't like to carry a balance any longer than necessary :sad2:.

I was thinking of using stockings as well - hoping they are in the stores soon, I want to start working on them. My other thought was to use canvas tote bags, decorated with mickey heads made from fabric with a christmas theme. Using either 2 or 3 bags, I would attach them on the side with ribbon and hang from the handle of the first bag. Does that make any sense :confused3

We are using our stockings too.

We're making the final payment today or tomorrow! Depents on MasterCard!
Has the Wonder also Villains Tonight or is it just on the Magic??!
We loved that show! Would be great if we could see it again!!!

Hi all! I have a question about what happens with the FE exchange if your room changes at the last minute?

We've heard that you can sometimes get last minute upgrades on the day of embarkation. My husband is definitely going to ask about it, but I'm a little bit worried about how that would affect the FE exchange. :(

I have never seen Villians Tonight on any of my Wonder cruises.

On the Hawaii cruise, one designated stateroom had a white board on their door that listed any room changes. I'm not sure if someone has volunteered for that or not yet.

Villains is on the Magic. When we were on the WBTA they had a big villians party afterwards. It was really neat! A lot of characters that don't usually come out to dance and take pics with were out. Although, they don't have the Toy Story show. When we did the MR in Feb it was the first time we got to see that one. It's really cute!

And since there's usually a meet-and-greet the first day after boarding, you can get your room number changed on the list. The list on someone's door is a great backup too for anyone who doesn't make it to the meet and greet. But if your room does change, it would be great if you could have at least one person stop in at the M&G and let the organizer know your room number changed. :)

On the same note, I'd just like to thank Tammy again for organizing this and keeping the spreadsheet on google docs. The cruise I'm taking in Sept out of NYC is doing a FE and they keep posting the list with all the cabin numbers on the thread.... which anyone can see, even if they don't even sign up for an account on the DISboards. Would that give anyone else the heebie jeebies a little or is it just me? Like... the list includes the number of kids in the cabin and their ages and everything....

That was me, and I'll be happy to do it on this cruise also. 5131, aft, just downstairs from the buffet and on the same deck as the movie theatre, nursery and kids clubs.

Not sure what the downside would be - what nefarious scheme would some other happy cruiser think up to do with that information? Besides, your kids aren't likely to be in the cabins without you. The potential upside is - people (like me) who aren't on the FE list might leave you a little surprise . . .

Happy Day, all.

It has been my pleaseure taking care of the FE exchange list - I'm hoping that the spreadsheet is working well for everyone - you all are a great group to work with - any problems please let me know.

Here is my plan for the upgrades/changes:

:flower3: I will be at the meet on the first day and you can make changes then.

:flower3: I will also post the list on my stateroom door at 1:30pm and you can stop by and make changes there before 8:00pm.

:flower3: you can text or call my cell phone (I will email my number later)

:flower3: you can leave a message on my stateroom phone

I was planning on delivering new lists that night, but with 55 cabins that is just too much, so I will ask that everyone please stop by my cabin after 8:00pm on Sunday to get the updated list - hope that will work for everyone -

Comments, questions, concerns - let me know!

Sorry DeAnna - I forgot to add you to my quote in my post above in answer to your question :)

We would like to upgrade at the port too - that would only add to the confusion!
