Welcome Home Beth - I can't wait to hear all about your cruise and see your photos. I was able to convince my DH that we needed to take this cruise, he agreed and we are going to do the Sept 7th one.

I haven't managed to start a tip report yet, but I will tell you that this was an amazing cruise. We had a wonderful time. Here's the link to the post where I've started posting my pictures:

The rest of the pictures and the trip report will follow as soon as I do the fun things like unpacking and doing laundry.

Cool! I just started on it so I should have something ready shortly. :thumbsup2

Edit: OK, I simply modeled the layout like my old one but I can change the sub-pages to whatever we want. "Borrowed" some of Disney's artwork, a screen capture and ta-da!

Wow - that's incredible! It looks fantastic!

For those thanking Jeff for his work, I'll take some credit too for getting him on this cruise (okay - so all I did was send him a link to the special offer on the DCL page but still!)

Hello all,

Wife Susan and I just booked this cruise. Fellow Med cruiser Travelbee gave us the heads up on the GTY rate and we jumped on it. I also see BTH from the med cruise here too. We look forward to getting involved in all the activities and would be happy to help plan/organize some as well. I'll read through the thread and catch up on who's doing what. :cool1: :thumbsup2

Welcome! You've been added to the roll call. Thank you for creating the web site!

Wow, that web site is some cool stuff right there! :worship: Thank you for doing it!

Jeff your website looks great. Can't wait to fill it up with info and pics like you did for your Med cruise

I agree, I love the website. Keeps things all in one place. How do I get on the roll call? Relaxin' - Patti and Rick, Waterloo Ontario.

I was looking at another cruise website (I'm not sure if I could post the link, so when in doubt...), and they said there's a little village about 5 minutes taxi ride from the port called Mahahual or Majahual with a white sandy beach, nice water and beers/chips & guac for next to nothing. Has anyone done this? It looks fab, and kid friendly.

OK, so I finally caved and booked (today) the IGT for our gang. I was holding out for an OGT or VGT but decided the IGT rate was just too great to pass up...and I can use the extra cash for airfare or the LA portion of the trip. I was actually going to book the IGT for my mother and niece and book the 11C GTY for the three of us (for more flexibility in case Jess can't get the time off), but the 11C is not offered right now...sold out! So, we're in the restricted club :goodvibes. Woo Hoo!!! Now, it's official. I mentioned it to my boss the other day (had to find just the right moment) and it appears time off will not be a problem for me. Jess can't put in a request until Sept, but it shouldn't be a problem (a perk of working for a videogame company-in geekdom, they're very laid back, and I mean that lovingly).

If school will give the approval we will be booked on to this cruise in a couple of weeks!
We are from the Netherlands and will be joining with the 3 of us! Me(30) DH(35) and DD(4)
It's our second cruise with DCL, last year we've been on the WBTA.
We have the cruise virus in our system now!!!
So hope to join in in a couple of weeks!
Welcome aboard! (of course school will give the approval...think positively :thumbsup2). We were also on the WBTA and dined with a family (5 adults) from the Netherlands...one of the highlights of our trip. Ahhh, good memories.

Hi, all! We're just home from the first Canada cruise and it was truly amazing. I took somewhat over 1,000 pictures and will be posting a lot of them soon.

You can see by my signature that we booked another cruise while on board. Anyone up for another 14 night cruise?

I haven't had time to read all the posts, but welcome to the new cruisers!

Beth
Can't wait to hear all about it...my only "vacation" so far this summer was taking my mother and niece back to TN this past week and spending four days with the family before driving back. You win!!!

Egad! I checked out airfare - saw $2840 and thought - oh, that wouldn't be sooo bad, until I realized it's $2840 EACH! yikes!

I used 100K miles for the PC cruise, I figure I'd need 150K minimum for the EBTA. It'll be another 5 years before I have that many!
We've used Cheapoair for great flight deals for both EB and WBTAs. You just have to keep checking all the discount sites. But if you're using miles, lots of luck!

Wow - that's incredible! It looks fantastic!

JEFF...the website is fantastic, esp. for something you just threw together. I had to laugh at how many people named "Me" there are in the Roll Call :lmao:.

Connie...thank you, too! We were hoping someone would step up and take the reins (and I am sooo not technically talented enough to do it!).

Everything is falling into place.....

Thanks. I've been adding photos of the ports of call from our own Mexican Riviera cruise on the Magic, plus pulling some off Google images. :)

We've done this beach. It was amazing! We didn't have the kids yet, though. We are planning on doing this again with the kids while on this cruise. It was a really cheap taxi, though. We both said it reminded us of a Corona commercial.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Welcome aboard, new arrivals.:cheer2:

Jeff, that is going to be an amazing website - but oh so much work for you. When you are ready for it, I'll send you the information on an excursion with a private guide I'm arranging in Columbia.

Yard sale went well - we were BLESSED with wonderful weather, but cursed with a ton of competition. My cruise fund is $120 richer :)

Happy Father's day to all the Dads - wishing you a day at the :beach:

Whereever you are, whatever you do - hope your day is a good one.

Jeff- This is so amazing- thanks so much for making this website- it will be so helpful! Much appreciated!!:cheer2:

My family just booked one of the IGT rates for this cruise. It will be our first time without a window, but the deal was too good to pass up.

Excited would be an understatement. A PC cruise has been a bucket list item for a while and we are looking forward to visiting Cartagena. As an added bonus - my daughter will turn 9 while we are on the cruise. Hopefully she won't expect a Disney Cruise for every birthday.

Joining you will be

Dave (MrMom)
Marie - DW
Regan - DD, 8
Mason - DS, 5

Looks like I've got some reading to do. This thread has been busy!

A Corona commercial atmosphere is perfect!!!

I'm inquiring about a private tour in Cartagena. I will post here when I hear back on details to see if others are interested in joining us.
