OK, so I finally caved and booked (today) the IGT for our gang. I was holding out for an OGT or VGT but decided the IGT rate was just too great to pass up...and I can use the extra cash for airfare or the LA portion of the trip. I was actually going to book the IGT for my mother and niece and book the 11C GTY for the three of us (for more flexibility in case Jess can't get the time off), but the 11C is not offered right now...sold out! So, we're in the restricted club

. Woo Hoo!!! Now, it's official. I mentioned it to my boss the other day (had to find just the right moment) and it appears time off will not be a problem for me. Jess can't put in a request until Sept, but it shouldn't be a problem (a perk of working for a videogame company-in geekdom, they're very laid back, and I mean that lovingly).
If school will give the approval we will be booked on to this cruise in a couple of weeks!
We are from the Netherlands and will be joining with the 3 of us! Me(30) DH(35) and DD(4)
It's our second cruise with
DCL, last year we've been on the WBTA.
We have the cruise virus in our system now!!!
So hope to join in in a couple of weeks!
Welcome aboard! (of course school will give the approval...think positively

). We were also on the WBTA and dined with a family (5 adults) from the Netherlands...one of the highlights of our trip. Ahhh, good memories.
Hi, all! We're just home from the first Canada cruise and it was truly amazing. I took somewhat over 1,000 pictures and will be posting a lot of them soon.
You can see by my signature that we booked another cruise while on board. Anyone up for another 14 night cruise?
I haven't had time to read all the posts, but welcome to the new cruisers!
Beth
Can't wait to hear all about it...my only "vacation" so far this summer was taking my mother and niece back to TN this past week and spending four days with the family before driving back. You win!!!
Egad! I checked out airfare - saw $2840 and thought - oh, that wouldn't be sooo bad, until I realized it's $2840 EACH! yikes!
I used 100K miles for the PC cruise, I figure I'd need 150K minimum for the EBTA. It'll be another 5 years before I have that many!
We've used Cheapoair for great flight deals for both EB and WBTAs. You just have to keep checking all the discount sites. But if you're using miles, lots of luck!
Wow - that's incredible! It looks fantastic!
For those thanking Jeff for his work, I'll take some credit too for getting him on this cruise (okay - so all I did was send him a link to the special offer on the DCL page but still!)
JEFF...the website is fantastic, esp. for something you just threw together. I had to laugh at how many people named "Me" there are in the Roll Call

.
Connie...thank you, too! We were hoping someone would step up and take the reins (and I am sooo not technically talented enough to do it!).
Everything is falling into place.....
