I would email your Dreams agent and ask them to link your reservations together! Our Dreams agent has been wonderful with all my questions!
We actually have an airport in our town--although usually expensive to fly out of. Fortunately, I was able to snag a mileage ticket for our upcoming trip that allows us to get on a twenty seat plane from our tiny town. We've lived in Alaska 16 years--it's an amazing place.
I will definetely take an empty ship! Hopefully then we can upgrade even with being IGT!! I was wondering when everyone put down for their dinner...early or late? Right now we are early, but contemplating doing the late seating.
I just asked our TA about the waiting list for transport from Miami to FLL and she called Disney and they said they had never heard of that. Does anyone have more info? Thanks!
We are having a hard time deciding too. We are on late right now, but thinking it will be too late for our kiddos on Western time. When we are on Eastern time it's just right. So, not sure what to do?
The reason we put down early dining for now, is that in our experience, it is a lot easier to switch to late seating than early. So, as it gets closer, we might decide to switch to late...I just don't like eating so late and then going to bed...sure doesn't help with the weight!
We have convinced our in-laws to join us on this cruise. Should be an exciting time--it's their first Disney Cruise.
Does anyone know how we could go about making sure they are seated at our dinner table/rotation? They booked through Disney and we've booked through Dreams Unlimited, so different reservation processes. Can we just make this request?
I've done a little research using some old Navigators, and based on what I see, this is what I think our evening cruise schedule might be like:
Day 1 - "Let the Magic Begin" - Cruise Casual
Day 2 - Sea - "Taste of California" - Casual
Day 3 - Cabo - "Around the World" - Casual
Day 4 - Puerto Vallarta - "Golden Mickey" - Formal
Day 5 - Sea "Villains Tonight"
Day 6 - Sea - Rotational Dining Menu - Semi-Formal
Day 7 - Sea - Rotational Dining Menu - Casual
Day 8 - Sea - Rotational Dining Menu - Casual
Rotational Menus:
A/P - Show Dinner
Lumiere's - French Dinner
Parrot Cay - Island Dinner
Day 9 - Panama Canal - "West Meets East" - Casual
Day 10 - Cartagena - "Pirates In the Caribbean" - Pirate Dress
Day 11 - Sea - "Master Chef"- Casual
Day 12 - Sea - "Captain's Gala" - Casual
Day 13 - Sea - "Prince and Princess" - Formal
Day 14 - Sea - "Til We Meet Again" - Cruise Casual
The Day 5 Sea day used to be a Port Day, so I could see this being done on Day 8 or Day 13 Instead, and then those getting switched around.
Thoughts? I think it's neat that we'd have 2 formal nights.

Great idea! I'll switch then too!
I do not think it is at all crazy to homeschool in order to go to Disney parks and travel when it's not peak season. I am the kind of person who would consider this option once our kids are school-aged. Just had to say that!
...
For the ruins.....because of the very cool 12/21/12 coincidence, DH and I just cannot pass up this adventure. The only catch is that the kids need to come with us. 3 y.o DS will probably like it, and one of us can wear 11 month old DD in a backpack. I see that the tour company offers a child rate, and we don't mind paying it. However, I'm concerned that they are assuming the "child" is older, like 10 or something, and they will not be prepared for anyone to bring babies or toddlers. Should I contact them and make sure it's OK for us to bring such young children?
Could you let me know what you find out about the ruins? We are interested in doing the tour too, but we'd have our 6 and 4 yr old with us. So, I want to make sure it would be something appropriate for them to come.
When we did our last 14 nighter on DCL our kids were 3 and 1 too!
If you're thinking of joining us-- I don't think it will be an issue. We toured with David and Ivan before and they were very accommodating. I think I mentioned before, or told someone via pm when they asked about small kids, we're taking our two 8 year olds, and youngest ds has some medical and developmental special needs (won't be a disruption, don't worry) so young kids are welcome as far as I'm concerned. There is a good deal of walking, and it might be hot, but they do provide drinks, and we had a very nice air conditioned bus. We had a first rate experience with them, David was our guide and he was very informative and funny, historically accurate and honest. And being there on the last day of their calendar-- awesome.
I mean, if the world's going to end-- what better place for it to happen then on a Disney cruise. (Glad my priest doesn't read the dis-- he'd smack me upside the head for that.)
I'd like to sign my family up for this tour if it is still open. Can you send me additional information about it?
Thanks,
Chris
Here's the website of the company we're using: http://www.thenativechoice.com/
We were thinking of the standard ruins tour due to the shorter time and lower price (haven't seen the ballgame one before, that's new). I don't know anyone who's done the Mayan Experience, so besides TripAdvisor feedback, I don't know how that is.
There's also the opportunity to donate school supplies to the local elementary school, and time permitting, they do drop in on the shorter tour to leave the supplies. Don't know if anyone would be interested in that, but they have information on their site.
