I wondered if anyone that is signed up for this cruise is also going on the Western Caribbean Sept 29th on Fantasy. DH and I will be in our 60's by then . Would like to find some people on WC cruise, so that we would have friends/acquaintances to talk to on the Panama Cruise.

Hi everyone! We are happy to announce that we will be joining you for this awesome cruise. It is me, Katy my DH Brandon and DS Logan (4) and DS Emmett (2). This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise (all on the Wonder)!

We want to do the FE and the Palo Group Brunch and want the certificate for the canal (I will PM the organizers in a bit).

I also saw that there were at least a few other families with small children my boys age! Hopefully we can get to know each other before the cruise!

Is there a facebook group for this cruise yet? On my last cruise we had one and it really helped get to know our fellow cruisers!

Fish Extender Exchange​

With about 7 months til our cruise I'm going to go ahead and start organizing the FE Exchange for those who are interested, so the planning can begin!

If you are interest I ask that you PM me the following information - I will follow up with an email - all communication regarding the exchange will be done through email.

Dis Name
Names of the adults
Names and ages of the children
Cabin Number
email address

We will keep this easy as possible - at this point we will set the sign up cutoff for about 6 weeks prior to sailing.

Gifts - you decide how you want to gift - one per cabin, one per person, adult gifts, kids gift etc.

Delivery - you decide when to deliver - no delivery schdeule

Unless we get too many participants, we won't split into groups!

Did you get the email about the changes to our flight? I am so bummed, I don't know what to do. Arriving four hours later really takes a huge chunk out of day - and having a layover in San Fransisco really stinks, I really wanted a non-stop flight. I guess on the bright side, we could have made a stop at a worse airport, right?? We booked through Expedia - think I can do anything about the change

Glad you are joining us - I don't have little ones, but my DD loves little ones and is looking forward to meeting all the kids!

We don't have a facebook account - if you are interested in starting one, just post it here - I think that is a great idea.

I posted above about our FE group and how to join. This has been a highlight for us as well on our past cruises.

Hello everyone! We have just booked this cruise as well and are so excited. I blame a fellow diser who put a repo cruise into my mind and within a couple of days, here we are (and she wasn't even talking about this cruise!) It will be me and DH (who uses the name Disneyzell on the disboards), and this will be our 6th Disney cruise, but our first without the kids...yes, we are leaving our two boys home with my parents (they are 13 and 9 years old). Let's just say they are not too happy about it. We booked the IGT category, so who knows where we will end up...this will probably be our first cruise not in a verandah, so we will have to see how we like it. But the price couldn't be beat, so we'll see what happens. We love doing the FE, so I will be PM'ing our details shortly (although we don't have our cabin yet) We are excited to get to know everyone ahead of time.

to all the new cruisers! This is going to be a great group! We definitely want to do the FE's (I'll pm when I get a chance) and are also interested in Secret Mickey. I'd be willing to organize it, if anyone else is interested....? These gift exchanges are a big part of why we love Disney cruises (DH is really just a little boy in a man's body -he can't wait to check the FE every day!)

I didn't get an email but I just checked my reservation, and it does appear that we're going to San Francisco. While that's on my list of places to go, I think I'd actually like to spend some time there!

We have no plans for our arrival day, so the change won't affect us. I'm sorry that it will affect your plans! We're just planning to check into the hotel, relax for a while and then maybe find somewhere to have dinner, then make an early night if we can. We probably won't sleep much the night before, so we need to catch up on our beauty sleep before we have to start all of that relaxing on the ship ! We wanted a direct flight because I don't like taking off--flying is fine, landing is fine, but I hate taking off!

Of course it might be good if you knew our names...we are Deanna and Drew. Today I am looking at flight from either Miami or Fort Lauderdale to the SF bay area. We will most likely be going out of Fort Luaderdale as they are tending to have the cheaper flights. We are actually doing a short Carnival cruise out of Miami this July for a family reunion and are flying into and out of Fort Lauderdale. So for any of you who are flying out of that airport, I will hopefully get all the best info when we are there in July. I think to get down to LA, we will do a one-way car rental the day before the cruise and stay with a friend down there. Does anyone know when they will show the excursions for the ports? We would really like to do a zipline tour, so would love to see if one is offered.

Ok, so want to get some opinions as to when you think the earliest flight we should book leaving from Fort Lauderdale. We can get a Jetblue flight that leaves at 11:45 am that would ultimately get us to San Francisco at 7:36 pm or we can get a Jetblue flight that leaves at 12:50 pm and gets us into SF at 10:22 pm. I would love to get the earlier flight, but DH is concerned that 11:45 is too early. We would either take a shuttle to the airport or a cab (depending on the time we would need to get there by). Any thoughts?

I'd probably opt to go safer with the later flight. Most likely you'd have no problems with the earlier flight, but this will be the first time Disney arrives in Miami and they may not have all the kinks worked out right away.

Thanks for your input, Tammy. We did book the later flight. I figured we could try to go standby on the earlier flight if we get there early. We just bought trip insurance for this cruise as well...never have done that before, but since we are IGT, the cruise is not refundable at all, so we thought we better be safe on this one. The bad news is that I really don't want to see our credit card statement next month! The good news is that after that one, we are completely paid for! The only thing left will be the car rental down to LA and of course F/E gifts I am starting to look around for some unique and cool ideas for those gifts.
