I don't have a paypal account. Do we need one to pay for the certificate? I'm not sure I want to set one up just to pay for a certificate. I totally understand, tho', that you need to be paid and don't expect you to take a chance of being stuck with people not paying. Guess I never thought much about how it might work. Would it be simpler if I just not get one?

I completed my form and was taken to a page that says I will receive an invoice via paypal.com In my experience with sending out paypal.com invoices, you will not need a paypal.com account in order to pay. There will be an option to pay via paypal or to pay without opening a paypal.com account. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. :thumbsup2

You do not need a PayPal account to complete the transaction. The following is from PayPal's site:

Do my buyers need a PayPal account to pay me?
No. They can pay with their credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) — all without having a PayPal account.

Here’s how this easier checkout works:
1.Customers enter their name and shipping address.
2.They’re prompted for their credit card, email address, and phone number.
3.(Optional) After reviewing their information, they may choose to save their information by creating a PayPal account to make future transactions faster.

Thank you both for your replies. I'm glad cuz I want the certificate. Will now fill out my order. Thanks for organizing this.:)

Just wanted to let you all know that the certificate orders are populating beautifully with Google Docs (first time I've used this). I've got 3 so far, and the information is populating to the correct areas of the spreadsheet, which will make my life so much easier when I go to place the order with the printer!

PayPal invoices will be coming shortly to those who have submitted orders, and I hope the process goes just as smoothly.

Not sure what he does or who he works for, but is there any possibility that his employer would simply route him back to LA instead of Newark? Would be harder on you to have to get everything to LA, but meeting him there would save the time of the extra flights he'd have to go through. He'd still miss DL, but would make the cruise.

Did you folks who are at DL the night before think of having a pre-meet meet? We had one the night before the Hawaii in the lobby of the Grand Californian.

That's what I would recommend. Have him fly right into LAX. It can likely be done - especially this far in advance - without any additional cost. Ship his cruise stuff to the hotel, along with a preaddressed label to ship his work clothes home.

Thanks for the ideas. I am hoping he will go in November instead of December but no matter what, we can work it out. He wants to fly back with the team so he can work with them on the flight. He is nervous about leaving them for 2.5 weeks without communication. He said he stressed that in the meeting and they agreed. So hopefully they will have enough done to make the Novemeber trip. DH is so excited about DL I would hate for him to miss. He already made his ride list. Such a cute dork.

Any interest in a pre-meet meet for the Disneyland crew?

I got a one day Alamo rental for $111 through Costco. We pick up their shuttle at the port, then get the car at the Miami airport. We'll leave the car at the Dolphin. I think it's a pretty good deal - the tolls are included.

So Alamo has a shuttle from the Port to MIA?
We leave out of FLL on Monday, so just need a car for a day plus a few hours. I am not seeing anything for less than $150 will all the fees even for a compact car. I have done a couple quick searches with USAA, Costco.

This is the only thing I'm really only stressed about. All our reservations have been made except that I have to find a way to get from the port to FLL. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to get there with 2 small children and lots of luggage?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Lisa

In addition to considering the shuttle, the following site suggests a cab ride would be around $70 (something to consider if a group shuttle would run you close to the same). http://www.taxifarefinder.com/main.php?city=Miami

Our kids are 8 and 6, but when they were younger ground transportation and transfers was a much bigger issue b/c of child seats, etc. I'm not sure if that's a concern for you, though.

This cruise is getting so close! :cool1:

I have been packing the last few days for this Sunday's California Coast cruise. It's been so nice to just pack for 2 of us instead of 4 since the boys are staying home with grandma. However, it does have me stressing a little bit about packing for all of us for this trip. I know I can do laundry but who wants to do laundry on vacation?? I will take a close look at the laundry prices this coming week to see how much it would be to send some things out to be laundered if need be. I thought I had read on here that on longer cruises, some people were given an option to fill at bag for a certain price but as far as I know that wasn't offered on the Hawaii cruise.

I found this in the sticky FAQ. The prices are from 2005 so I am not 100% sure if they are the same still but I believe they may be as the dry cleaning prices were the same from the Fantasy.

We will be sending suits/dress shirts/dresses out for pressing so I don't have to worry about how they are packed or worrying about ironing. The dry cleaning prices are better on the ship than they are here in DE. I might be bringing some dresses that need dry cleaned and have them done on the first day and then wear them instead of having them done before we leave. We plan on washing our clothes in the laundry rooms and only bringing few days worth of clothes. I am trying to cut down on the everyday wear so I can bring a dress for each night. I don't really care if someone sees me running in the same two shirts for 14 days (yes they will be washed!) I am such an overpacked and a girl scout (Be Prepared), I always pack to much and a bunch of extra things, just in case....

How do the boys feel about being "left behind" Enjoy the alone time with your daughter.

We will be at DLR from Monday till we cruise on Sunday....::banana:

We're so lucky to live in So Cal. :beach: The weather's in the high 70's with a slight breeze. The Space Shuttle Endeavor flew over San Francisco, The Hollywood sign, Disneyland, the Queen Mary and ending at LAX this morning on the back of a 747 SCA. There were 10's of thousands of people around CA watching as if flew by. The site of it, as it flew over head literally took my breath away. I saw a few pictures of it flying over the Golden Gate Bridge and it's amazing. There were people that actually stopped on the side of the freeway and had chairs to sit in and watch. Have you ever been on a freeway in California? Really people? It was something I'll never forget.

My wife an I were in our car at the intersection of Century Blvd. and La Cienega Blvd., near LAX, when the shuttle landed an hour or two ago. It was huge. It will travel along Manchester Blvd., just two blocks from my house in about 3 weeks on its way to the California Science Center in downtown Los Angeles. :cool1:

I watched out in front of my office (which is a few blocks from the Calif. Capitol) as it flew directly over the Capitol. I was glad to see so many people came outside to take in the historic significance of the last flight of the last space shuttle.

I heard of several accidents. One guy by Disneyland tried to take a picture out side the window of his car while driving and hit the car in front of him. Silly people! Can I come visit you in 3 weeks? :santa: I'd love to see it on its way to the CA Science Center.

Watching the shuttle fly over was an amazing site! It was cool to see all the folks up on freeway overpasses and such for hours just to get a glimpse. I was in a park (Sunnyvale, CA) near Moffett Field NASA Ames and it flew RIGHT over our heads pretty low to the ground. 10 seconds I'll never forget!

Hope you take a few pictures when it passes by your house! and post them here!

I am so jealous of everyone who got to see the shuttle. Such a sad thought that a shuttle will never be in flight again. My hope and dream of being an astronaut and piloting a space shuttle were killed last year, well to be honest that dream was killed in college but this makes it offical. At least I got to pretend during my (many, yes I was a dork) weeks at Space Camp (and Space Academy and Advanced Space Academy...)

Hope this works! We drove to Universal Studios and had an incredible view from the very top of the parking structure as we watched Endeavour fly over us. People were cheering, clapping and crying - proud day for all. - It made three passes, as we were directly behind the Hollywood sign, just across the freeway.
