Gosh I am in shock! I put our old konk cooler mugs up on ebay since we never use them and I have got to start clearing out stuff, so anyhow I was looking today to see how they are doing and you would not BELEIVE the stuff people have on there, I feel like writing and saying come on now you can get this stuff for free!
"exclusive luggage tags" they are at a table by guest services the last night:rolleyes: (there are several "lots" available..
A "super package" of mickey shampoo, minnie lotion, post cards, stationary.. all the stuff in your cabin for FREE!!!
DCL video..hello just call and it is yours for FREE
Now granted my son did put up his Oceaneer's Lab hat that he got for free but I made him add some of his DCL stuffed animals with it..
There is even a Fish mail holder.. how someone got that off the ship is beyond me!

Well, what I heard through the boards is that alot of people can't afford to go on the cruise, but they like the free stuff for their collections (Figure that...) Anyway, I have heard that alot of people buy the luggage tags because they use for scrapbooking for the characters.

Anyway, that's my two cents worth.

Hey AnnMorin! I saw your mugs today!

The luggage tags always get me too! I had never seen them before our cruise last fall. I should have grabbed a bunch of tags and made big bucks!

well if anyone wants luggage tags let me know and I will be happy to bring them home for free for you from my next cruise :)

I have a plan to make my room host think I am just very dirty and dry.... so I can hord all the lotion and shampoo..(plan on bringing and extra suitcase just for them and the stationary..maybe some napkins from the bars..........) that is how I will pay for the next cruise.
I still wonder how in the world they got the fish mail off the wall and off the ship.........

I have seen all those things on ebay and I find it amazing! I thinks it's silly to sell the stuff from the rooms like soap and postcards, but I think it is really pathetic when people grab extra stuff just to sell it on ebay. I saw someone with a huge supply of luggage tags for sale once. The only way to get that many would be to go down and just grab as many as he could get. What some people will do to make a couple of bucks!

In case anyone thinks I was serious...please don't I would never REALLY sell luggage tags..............that fish though hmmmmmmmmmmm:tongue:

I was typing at the same time you were posting, so don't think I meant you! I started to type after the first post, I just took my time! When I hit submit, and saw there were some additional posts, I was worried that someone might think I was aiming my post at them! I really don't think anyone on this thread is going to grab a bagful of tags and sell them!

Let's see..... IF I could get 2 cents per tag, THEN a $4,000 cruise divided by 2 cents equals 200,000 tags. WOW! How many suitcases would that take?

Oh, I think it's so funny what people buy on Ebay. I'm an Ebay addict, so I can't really call any kettles black. I actually sold my VIP Tapis rouge pass from Cirque du Soleil's opening of Varekai in Montreal and the free program they gave me that had a CD in it on Ebay and actually more than paid for my daughter's ticket! I couldn't believe it, it went for $65.00, so I then put on my husband's VIP pass and program and that went for $52.00! I kept mine for souvenir, but honestly, what people will buy is crazy! Not sure about ripping apart the ship to sell items on Ebay though, that seems a bit much...:hyper:

Love the punch line- Cannot be bought anywhere in the world...

yeah cause they are FREE!

(oh and can ya get the different ones at guest sevices or just the ones for your color?)

I just looked at the auction, wow, you are right! Just make sure that if you all do the same thing, stagger your auctions to not flood the market! Hahahah! Supply and demand is a wonderful thing!

(and of course I am just having fun here for those who don't know me)

How about "OFFICIAL DCL toliet paper" think about it ...
it could be marketed as "RARE DCL toliet paper from the Norwalk Virus Cruise of '02"
ohhh I am just feeling too silly right now..

Anyone remember the major flap with the guy who was selling the "WD" initials from the chairs in the Walt Disney Theater? I remember seeing that they were missing on one of our cruises, and lo and behold, the next week they were up for auction and he was claiming that a crew member gave them to him as a gift!! And I've also seen people selling Navigators, which go amazingly high. They always claim, "Not available anywhere else" (hmmm, I guess my website and Dave's must not exist), and half the time they're months old, but people still pay $20 and over for them. That always steams me because hubby and I put a lot of work into our website to help people out for free, and then rip-off artists come along and scam them.
